In my books it's more than OK. Solid and balanced album, with quite some very good songs. Not a masterpiece, probably won't be looked upon as a classic, but it's good and uplifting music. For me it comes very close to DBTT which I always loved, but that one had a brilliant song in TIOBI, which DGSS lacks. It has very good songs, but not brilliant ones. Still. Highly enjoyable. I reckon casual listeners will like this album more than Oasis fans. If a new band I didn't know or didn't care for released this I would be (even more) amazed.

I think it is better than OK and is worth the 4 stars it has been receiving in some quarters. Only after listening to it and going out did I realise how damn catchy a lot of it is as have had different bits of different songs stuck in my head all day.
The missus, who wasn't that big an Oasis fan, said it was a really good album, in her words there are no bad songs but they are all quite varied, her favourites were the Andy songs, but later said she had Beatles and Stones stuck in her head.
So even though that is not a masterpiece it is damn catchy.
Not a masterpiece but a damn good album that will sit proudly in my collection in a couple of weeks time.

I reckon casual listeners will like this album more than Oasis fans. If a new band I didn't know or didn't care for released this I would be (even more) amazed. Can't speak for for everyone, but I played this album to a couple of people who were casual Oasis fans and they didn't like it that much. They thought that there were a couple of good songs, but that the majority of the songs were average at best. |

Only heard a few songs so far. Notthing special at all about Morning Son. Seeing as that seems to be the standout according to most posts here, that doesn't bode well for the album.
Nowhere near SOTSOG. Not evel close. Better than I thought it would be though.

It's better than okay. I wouldn't even go up to "pretty good" though. It's good, but just good. Nothing great to be heard here, apart for the outro to Wigwam. I do think it's better than what I expected, but not by a whole lot. I wouldn't be surprised if Beady Eye was dead and gone after 3 quick albums, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they stuck around. It's all quite meh to me.

wigwam is a tremendous piece of shit.
he put 3 songs together to equal this?
decent up to 1:50 then shit storm.
and what the hell is with the repeating the name of the song over and over and over at the end of these songs? If your gonna do that then at least fade it out or hide in the mix better.
he cant hold back the na na na's I see again.
at least he didnt do his signature "song" in any of them this time.
this album is most definitely not even semi great.
very average lyrics that are beat to death.
good singing.
bad songs.
6/10.and thats being kind.
