In the rating the tunes thread, reezkee wrote:

Personally, I think he's onto something here. Whether it was concious or not, it's too much of a coincidence for FLW, BaS, KFAD, TBGO, and TMS to have references to the break up. Add the album title to the mix, which is clearly a direct reference to the breakup, and you aren't able to ignore the signs.
Liam and the lads will never admit to it, even if it's true, but I do think this album is about Noel, Oasis, the breakup, and the continuation of a band.
It almost works in a (very) loose concept album kind of way, too, with Liam coming to fruition and recognition in The Morning Son after kicking off the album in an angry diatribe in Four Letter Word.......

It's about their lives...and one of the most significant things to happen in their lives was their band of the last 10-20 years breaking up.
I think there is more to something being a concept album than for there to be a theme running through it.
Many people write around common themes for an album...but that doesn't make them all concept albums.

There's definitely some lines in TBGO where this really comes out:
"Thought that I died today Walked off the stage Faded away into the clouds"
"Thought it was the end of the world Deep with guitars and all that I understand is here"

Possibly but i'd say its come subconsciously, its just a part of their life and songwriters will write about life and their personal experiences.
So a little I see your idea but its not done on purpose i dont think, also quite funny the only writer who doesnt seem to be writing like that is Gem who is and has always got on best with Noel. The others not so much.

If the Oasis breakup was a big deal for us, just imagine what it meant for them! Of course they would write about it. I doubt they intentionally wrote the lyrics with a "concept" in mind though. Anyway, there are only 3 or 4 songs on the album that could be about the breakup. Go have a wank NL4E
