Reminds me very much of There She Goes by The La's. Anyone else get that vibe?

Nah, but they are both simple pop songs. I really like For Anyone and for that reason, I'd try to avoid comparisons to There She Goes, which is an all-time classic, in my opinion.

i swear sometimes people hear a song that falls into a sort of style, then they think of the one song they know in that style and think they're the same

at the very start it sounds like Guiding Star by Cast. I can see the comparison though with the La's not there she goes though

This is my favourite tune on the album. It's simply stunning. Liam sounds about 19 on it.

Hell, it even works with artists in general. There are so many people that will hear harmonies and think of the Beatles, regardless of the way everything else in the song sounds.

Or even the beatles harmonies. That stuff needs to come back. It's brilliant. but i guess really hard to do. One thing i like in For Anyone is the double track on the lead vocals. love the effect.

Jellyfish is maybe the only band in recent years (though their debut was 21 years ago now) that could approach the level of those two bands when it comes to harmonies. I love harmony. It's certainly one of those things that's a constant evolution for me as a singer/musician. Just always working on it and trying to incorporate it better into my songs. The Beach Boys were unbelievable masters of harmony. Especially the high-end...hitting notes like that clearly with power is so difficult to do consistently.

Yeah, they're crazy, but i find the high falsetto easiest, especially to follow. It's those middle parts that jump around all over the place. Every time i try to listen close to their music and pick out the middle parts, it's just insane, i cant follow. it's all brian wilson. by the time he was 12 he could do harmony and would teach it to his lil brothers. Nobody has really matched what he created in that regard. That's what made the chords he used so beautiful. You put all those harmonies out on a piano and the chords they make are wonderful

I do think sounds in The La's style, not There She Goes,,, but it has resemblance of The La's.

Well, yeah, I suppose the high parts are pretty easy to follow (especially when they go into a wee-oo-ooohh...if you know what I mean haha). That does bring me to a question I had when I first heard the album: why are the harmonies so low in the mix? Maybe they did it on purpose to have Liam's voice more up front, but it seemed strange to me on first and second listen.

No way does anyone ever do that!! On the topic - I love this tune. Very 'Up'. Loving everything I've heard so far, havn't heard all the songs yet, downloading in work is very slow! Can't wait to list to it from beginning to end later.

I've heard of "there she goes", but I don't really know it. But it reminded me of that too. Probably because I don't really know "The La's"...

Me suspects somebody in the band has been watching their CONCERT FOR GEORGE HARRISON DVD too much - especially the last song.

i don't hear that at all. Good song though. I liken it stylistically to "i'll follow the sun"

Reminds me very much of There She Goes by The La's. Anyone else get that vibe? i'll agree with you on that one. Maybe not melodically or musically similar but the structure is almost identical. A chorus repeated over and over, a little refrain, a few bars of instrumental and then back to the chorus and absolutely no verses. A great little number.

There's a lot of The La´s on the album. The Morning Son outro is The La's.
