I'd give it 2.5 stars, but since that isn't an option I rounded down to 2. Don't you always round up on a .5 mate?

3.5 for me. The Morning Son, Wigwam, The Roller, Four Letter Word, Three Ring Circus, For Anyone are all pretty good to great tunes. Millionaire, Kill For A Dream, The Beat Goes On are kinda average for me. I really don't understand that hype about the latter two. KFAD is plodding and TBGO sounds like some forgotten Beatles Christmas song, but they have some decent moments within them. Standing On The Edge Of Noise and Bring the Light aren't bad but they are mediocre but at least they are different than everything else on the album. Beatles & Stones and Wind Up Dream are pretty forgettable/bad. I have to say WUD wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be though. By no means is this album a classic but Liam, Andy, Gem and Chris proved to me that they can make me feel the same way a great Oasis tune can. I had my doubts that could do that when they formed.

If I had to write a review, I would conclude by saying this -
When Noel departed, it looked like the band came to a red light. However, they have proven that not to be the case with Beady Eye's success. After all, this is a band that "stops at traffic lights but only when they're green." Speed on.

4/5
If an album is good, it's good ever since the first listen. That's the way I think anyway. Same thing happens if the album is bad. If I need to listen the album a few amount of times to see if I like it or not, then something must be wrong.
In this case, loved it since the first listen.

I've never heard a music fan that felt that way. You've never had the "it grew on me" type thing?

The only album that I've ever felt was average on first listen, and then eventually brilliant later on was Howl by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. It's one of my favorite albums now.

listend to the album a few times through. i kill for a dream morning son blew me away. I really like the beat goes on and three ring circus as well. When bring the light came out i wasnt expecting much at all. This is a solid 4.5 album, on the first few listens i think its just as good as the past few oasis albums. This will be the best album put out by any other band this yr. im pretty confident in that

4 stars for me. I think it's a great album, a couple of absolute gems on there but it lacks a few more rockers i think. However there isn't a bad song on there for me. The two that were in dought have turned out pretty good in the end, thats wind up dream and SOTEOTN.

I gave it 4 stars not a total shit song on it imo. Its amazing how catchy the melodies are, little bits from songs stuck in my mind after just one listen

Everyone's a fuckin critic. You have your "Noel Is God" supporters who WONT see past the fact that "Oasis-is-no-more-and-he's-not-in-playing-in-the-album-therefore-DGSS-is-SHIT" fans. Then there's the sound ones who are open to change and praise the album for what it is, a really good rocking album. Listen, I LOVE Noel and Oasis, I'm not saying this is a stellar album considering everything, I think these dudes have done a superb job with this debut. I've listen to the album a handful of times already, completely sober most of the times, and I'm diggin' it. I've also listened to it under the influence and I reeeeeaaaly love it. Still don't think its BE's masterpiece, that will come in time. DGSS IMO, is a strong 4outta5 stars.

I agree with most of this I don't think everyone falls into either category but you do get a lot of people that are prejudiced against Beady Eye. You can usually tell who they are as they usually refer to them as "oasis minus Noel" or "Oasis minus the songwriter", whereas those open minded ones tend to call it "Liam Gallagher's new band" or words to that effect. Again doesn't reflect everyone. There are even people on facebook leaving the Oasis page because they are posting Beady Eye related stuff, and knowing one of them he would love it if it were about Noel!
