ahh right, how would the sony website know he was trying to rip audio - are websites that clever these days?.. he needs to try another recording program  |

Im going to cry if it doesn't leak tonight. Im at breaking point everytime i come onto here. Expecting a leak. Then it takes me hours to calm down, then im back on here. Is this normal?

I work at a TV production company, so I emailed that as my work... Prob. wont get anywhere, but worth a try. And I'm guessing they won't read the email this weekend, and by the looks of this site, the album could very well be leaked by then...

yep, looks like the guy has got the will to do it, he doesent seem to be joking at all. he says the tried to record a stream with a program he downloaded, but when he starts doing it the program is shutted down by the sony web page. The files are more than likely encrypted to stop any form of digital recording. This shouldn't affect an analog method of recording though. It's how the digital protection on the promo copy of Dig Out Your Soul was circumnavigated when Ethan leaked that one. Basically what your guy needs to do is hook up a cable from either his line out or his headphone socket on his PC, and then recording it on some external device, whether that be a phone, an mp3 recorder, even a tape. |

And softwares like Audacity, Sound Forge, aTube Catcher? Use those to transfer from your external device to your PC. But using them to do a "What you hear" on your PC won't work. That's exactly what the encryption is there to block. |
