Didn't buy the magazines but the new editions FHM and Loaded gave DGSS good reviews. From what I can remember FHM gave it 4 stars saying it was surprisingly good and that Millionaire was one of the best tracks. Loaded magazine were quite sarcastic saying liam had gone all folk on us but they still gave it 5/5 saying it was great and also mentioned Millionaire as one of the best tracks.
Anyway, just thought I would post this to lift the spirits after that dreadful review in the fly magazine!

That'll look pretty good in the reviews section on Wikipedia.

Thanks a lot Maybe there are some pdf's flying around! Couldn't find it.. I found a torrent file named (FHM March 2011) but turned out to be the South African version, no Beady Eye there. Hopefully someone else will have better luck.

Good stuff! Millionaire seemed promising to me from the preview and now these two have said it's the best on the album, can't wait.

FHM and Loaded are LADS mags and Oasis/Beady Eye (unfortunately) are associated with being the soundtrack for those type of people. To be honest I wouldn't really read into their reviews as they are likely to be as biased towards BDI as the likes of Pitchfork are against them.

the articles and substance of magazines like FHM are made for people that aren't very bright. and 12 year olds is an exaggeration, more like 16 year olds. sorry.

Read the reviews in a Smiths at Victoria station. Loaded was quite a short review mentions Millionaire being folky, as I think was mentioned before, and ends with"same gear, still smashing it!"
FHM mentions four songs Millionaire, Beatles and Stones, Wigwam and The Morning Son. Starts with the customary intro of being surprised that Liam got his album out first, but then says actually its quite good.

Christ, I HATED millionaire from the preview. I didn't think it was bad. I HATED BaS from the preview, and look how that turned out!

^ personally I thought that the full version of BaS added nothing to the preview. What a boring tune.

Lyrics are poor, Liam sounds good and I love the piano and drumming. Would say its better than Liams other efforts in that vein. But nothing more than alright.
Will probably like it a lot more after 5 or 6 pints live though.

I think B&S is a solid tune. Like I think all of them will be, some will be solid album tracks like B&S, Millionaire & Wind Up Dream and hopefully there will be some in the later part of the record that will be really good tunes.

nice ;D lol. Hey now, let's not cheat. Let's just avoid it by taking it down and pretending the 'review' never happened.

I honestly didn't do it lol. More importantly, none of those reviews have any links so they might not be up for much longer.
