seriously, who the fuck is jesse j ? lol sometimes the uK market is so hilarious. Jessie J will be big in the US soon. Just give it a few months. To be fair she has talent....writes her own songs and won the Brits Critics Choice which always picks a deserving winner. She hopes...but the translation of UK success to proper US success seems to be very difficult for even the most deserving artists.

It could if they released The beat Goes On (which seems to be their strongest track) as a single somewhere before the album release. The effect that The Roller might have had on the sales will wear off, even if the physical copy is yet to be released.
Don't know who the hell is behind their promotion desk, but they should have thought this through.

^^Maybe. Might be a bit too late for that. Even if they did release a great single before the release. You have to promote and get it played heavily on the radio. And so far BDI doesnt seem to care about singles/single sales/promoting.
I hear a lot of people talk about, I dont care about singles, or singles sales, but the point of a single is to promote how good an album will be. And when your singles arent even charting in the top 40, its hard for word of mouth to start happening. I mean, the single doesnt have to be a number #1, if all the song that they have released so far (FLW, TR, BTL) had just made in the Top 40, that would've given them enough momentum, going into an album release.
Though even the bad charting is not the worse thing for BDI. Its the choice of singles. Singles are meant to promote and when you're not really putting your best foot foward, then what is there really for the general public to be excited about.
I mean you can argue whether single sales really matter or not, but one thing that is hard to argue is the fact they just have not really chosen great songs to release (whether they were official singles or not). They still will probably be in the Top 5, but I really do feel like they would've at least had a better chance at #1, if the choice of released songs and promoting would've been better.

They really should of just released 'Four Letter Word' as the first official single (on cd/vinyl/download all at the same time), I said it before, its kinda the equivalent of Rock N Roll Star off Definitely Maybe, it has that edge n aggression n is a good track to introduce yourself to the world with. The Roller is a great track, but probably would of been better suited as a 2nd single.
True... whoever's in charge of whats being released, when... n how... really has made a major fuck-up!

Based on the reviews of the album that I've read, The Beat Goes On should have been/should be released as a single. The consensus seems to be that it is the strongest out of all the tracks on there.
