- For Anyone is a bit dissappointing.
- Wigwam&TBGO are great.
- Liam sounds like John Lennon.

Cheers! Today a friend of mine that works for a newspaper here in Sweden got to hear it, he didn't really like liams voice, but said some of the slower songs were good. He's not a big fan of rockers and/or oasis anyway... But the point is they had a copy of the album, and weren't just invited to an listening event. With copies in both Finland and Sweden, and a bunch of other countries I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the album ends up in the wrong (right) persons hands and finds it's way onto the net.

I'm not buying this review. He gives no lyrics. He's basically taken what everyone else has said and used "the I can't speak english" factor so it becomes more believable. Also he makes no mistakes in his spelling and then throws in one or two mistakes. FAIL.

Nobody has mentioned the Strawberry Fields Forever on the drums of TBGO and a few other small things. So it's not all recycled.

I pushed him for more information today, and if he knows about a copy just laying around the office or something. Apparently they'll give the copy to the reviewer mid week (wich could be today/tomorrow or thursday) and untill then he guessed the copy would stay in the building. They've got all kinds of albums coming out in the next few weeks. He's a little scared though, as this is his first real job in journalism, and he only started working there a few weeks ago. But I'm hoping it's still around tomorrow evening, and maybe I'll drop by his workplace with my laptop just to say hello |

depends what you want from an album these days.
I want a really strong album of good songs - which going by the reviews we've had so far - we are going to get!
Leave the anthems for Noel to do.
kinda like Lennon did after the Beatles he wrote strong albums. Beady Eye sound as though they have done that!

depends what you want from an album these days. I want a really strong album of good songs - which going by the reviews we've had so far - we are going to get! Leave the anthems for Noel to do. kinda like Lennon did after the Beatles he wrote strong albums. Beady Eye sound as though they have done that! I believe when I implied that I worried that the tunes wouldn't hang together as an album I was met with a chorus of objections that they weren't going for album flow they were just putting their best tunes on there. We may be met with a collection of strong tunes...but I don't think it'll really be a great 'album'. Personally it seems that DOYS will be a better 'album' than DGSS but DGSS may be more consistent. |

^ I think Imagine's very strong. Other than that and Plastic Ono Band, I just have assorted songs from his solo career (too much mediocre material on the other ones).

And to me, one of the greatest albums of all time. Imagine is pretty good. Probably overrated, but that doesnt mean its not a strong album. Pretty strong effort. Imagine, Crippled Inside, Jealous Guy, and Gimme Some Truth make up about half that album. So yeah, pretty pretty pretty song. Double Fantasy might be his most overrated, but its still a pretty good album. In all he made 1 tremendous album, 1 extremely good album, and 1 very good album. The rest is okay. imo |
