Channel 4 has confirmed plans to air Live From Abbey Road - Beady Eye Special. The 30-minute show will feature Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis band performing four songs plus an interview with the group. It will air in late February. In spring 2011, the broadcaster will follow up the programme with a new series of 15-minute shows titled Abbey Road Debuts. Each programme will feature two tracks from a band's Abbey Road debut and an interview with host Tom Ravenscroft. Neil McCallum, head of T4 and Music at Channel 4, said: "We're looking forward to broadcasting Beady Eye's eagerly anticipated televised performance prior to the release of their brand new album. "In addition, it's exciting to be announcing a brand new spinoff series, Abbey Road Debuts, which will allow the next generation of musical stars the opportunity to perform in such a historical space. "We envisage the shows to be the perfect accompaniment to the main series, collectively covering a whole new musical spectrum." www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a301156/channel-4-to-air-beady-eye-special.html----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can't wait. Really interested to see if Liams voice holds up live. The last tour was horrible for a few months there in the middle, but he shaped up in the end. Here's hoping that it sticks...

This'll be pretty good. Going from previous Abbey Road experiences then there will be anywhere from 4-6 songs and a small 5-10 minute interview (probably, sadly, with Zane Lowe)
I'm gonna make a statement here and say that Liam Gallagher's voice in this Abbey Road session will be the best anyone has heard it this decade.
It'll probably be bit nasely but this is a gig that Liam realises that it's all on him and if it's shit then the shit falls right back on his doorstep. Whereas before if he was shit on Jonathan Ross then it was Oasis and Noel who got the blame.
Liam Gallagher's voice on the Abbey Road sessions will be the best you'll hear it in the last 10 years.... He'll be up for it.

Get in there ! Cant wait for this, be great to listen to this tons on Sky+ over and over and of course an audio rip.
Thats more like it, a bit of publicity. Yeah i dont expect Beady Eye to be on the Graham Norton show or that but they need some publicity

Is there a youtube link (to appease the TOS rather than a bootleg) ?? I'm just taking a guess but never in Liam's life has a live performance been entirely on him and in this setting where it's just a TV studio he'll have all the levels right and the responsibility on his shoulders... I think he'll make an efforrt.
