All of a sudden I realized I'm really liking this song. I thought it was ok when it was released, and it surely isn't an epic, but I even find myself hitting the repeat button to it.
Has it grown on anyone else over the last couple of months?

1st listen, I remember never being as shocked at a music release in all my life. After Oasis releases, I was expecting a Lennon-esque tune similar to Love Like A Bomb then wow 50's piano with really soulful singers and female backup.
5th listen in and I started to get into once the shock had subsided and then a couple of weeks later I loved it and couldnt stop playing it.
For me, music is simple as long as its able to do something with your emotions then its at least a decent tune, not a classic but purely for the reason that it gets me pumped up and 'loving life' then it does its job. Lacks in lyrics, but makes up in passion and invention.
Fair play to Liam, even he weaker tunes are improving. We could be comparing this as his weakest on DGSS to AGN his weakest on DOYS and BTL pisses all over that. Maybe Noel was write and Liam does have a decent knack at writing good tunes.
Also a last point, I've wanted to make for a while and I'm sure nobody has brought up but is Nicole providing backing vocals on this track, sounds like her to me.

Look it may not win any songwriting prizes, but it is a huge amount of fun and what better reason to enjoy a song.
I listen to it a lot still especially in the car.

its gotten a little bit better with age. it might have shocked us earlier with the style but its nice to listen to every now and again. Its too long and repetitive but thats just typical Liam. I like the soul thats in it.

I wouldn't ever put it on by itself. But I wouldn't skip it if I was listening to the album.

I still feel the same way I did the week it came out. It's an alright tune. Nothing special. Decent filler and I can understand why they made it the first thing we heard because of it's unique vibe. But i still hope it pales In comparison to the rest of the album. So far that is looking good.

It's a decent tune and I've always thought that. I think most folk hyped themselves up for something epic and obviously didn't get it, so that's the reason for the unfair scathing criticisms it got. Also, nobody was expecting that 1950s swagger to it. Like previous poster said, it is much better than the awful awful Ain't Got Nothin and Meaning of Soul.

Took me a couple of listens to get over the shock of it but once I did I absolutely loved it and still do, it ain't an amazingly written song or it isn't a classic but its a fun rock n' roll tune which gets me singing along every time. Love it.

Very very lackluster. I'm completely underwhelmed by it and pretty disappointed to be honest. I want to like it, and I still plan on buying the album, but both BTL and The Roller were both pretty poor to my ears.

no no no no, i will never like it. The moment i heard the thing i felt almost embarrassed. anywho, my sister who "kinda" digs some of Oasis' songs really really likes BTL, then again she's into Elvis and that sort of thing(which i have no interest in).

I really liked it when it came out. After a few days, I stopped listening to it, but when I hear it nowadays, I realize what a energy bomb of a song this really is. As pointed out earlier in the thread, I also think it's a very uplifting tune.
I would'nt place it in front of Four Letter Word and The Roller (Awesome tunes both of them), but way ahead of things like The Meaning Of Soul and Ain't Got Nothing. Credit to Liam for putting out something so different that Oasis was. It really got us talking, that's for sure.

I heard from many people (especially not-oasis fans) that they actually liked the song. I think it's more correct to say that it's just not your thing. I also like the energy, the "come on" at the end gets a little annoying though.. I think people should stop saying "it's shit".

I still think its an okay song. Non of the BDI stuff has really grown on me. If I BDI song comes on my shuffle, I listen to it for maybe 30 seconds and then skip to the next track. None of them to me have that thing that keeps making me come back for more.

Meaning Of Soul >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bring the shite it's not even close(in my book) THIS And, I did'nt really like BTL at first. I didn't hate it as well, but I was just expecting someting different. But I quite like it now! I dare even say the beginning of the song sounds 'epic'. Everytime it comes on it makes me cheer up! I really want to 'go out' and 'take someone drinking' But it's toooooo long and repetitive, fact!
