Just wondering when the album comes out in other countries? I'm sure I read the album comes out as early as the 14th of February somewhere as well as numerous other countries getting a earlier release dates than the UK? If thats the case we are getting very close to hearing it now!

All I know is that it's scheduled to be released on the 23rd in Japan. I haven't heard anything about it being released earlier than that in other countries, but I sure hope you're right about it being out on the 14th. That would be pretty awesome.

We all know that the day it's released in one country, it's technically released (read: leaked) around the world. That's why the different release dates boggle my mind - it only encourages piracy.

^ i disagree. it's about not being able to be all over the world at the same time. giving a day or two to release it in different countries allows them to go over there and promote it on tv, radio and the like.

Its safe to say it will be the 29th of feb for canada and us.

Its safe to say it will be the 29th of feb for canada and us. It's not. We don't know if they've got an American distribution deal. But for as long as big retailers like Amazon US only offer imports to the American market, then the signs aren't good. No live shows either, another bad sign. |

EDIT: just noticed this at the bottom: This item will be released on Mar. 8, 2011. |

This will certainly be released in the US. And I'm sure that they will squeeze in a few dates in between the Spring European dates and the summer festivals. As far as the distribution goes, I'm wondering if Beady Eye will be releasing any kinds of packages off of their website? Thoughts? Some sort of LP- CD combo much like with DOYS? Obviously not as extravagant as DOYS but...

It'll be released in Holland on the same day as UK, but if the release date is Monday, most record shops overhere will have it on Friday or Saturday.

They could easily have a worldwide release on the same day and still be able to do the press - we've seen in the past that that sort of this can be done way in advance

Sony released the final Oasis albums in Japan and South America, whilst Warner released it in America. There's a Beady Eye website on Sony Music Japan but nothing on Sony Music Brasil/Argentina. With barely a month to go, you'd have through there would be some indication, somewhere, of what record company they were going to be with. |

my understanding is that the album will be released either the 14th or 15th in Argentina as well as the rest of SOuth America. As for the America distribution deal. I know it will be released under some kind of minor division of Universal Music Group. I believe it's called Fontana-Dangirbird.
