I am eager for the entire thing - I liked BTL (disappointed at first but it grew on me and now I dig it), LOVE FLW - I think it continues right where the harder side of Oasis left off, LOVE The Roller, and I think all of the clips sound great. There is not a single song I am REALLY anticipating, for me its more about hearing the entire album in one sitting. What I have heard so far has really impressed me.
I am not looking for a masterpiece here, I am looking for that same feeling I got when I listened to Liam sing with Oasis and I believe they have captured that. I have always been more of a fan of the Liam sung songs than Noel - although I respect Noel as a song writer and his acoustic sets are legendary, Liam is really what got me hooked on Oasis.
A lot has been said about Liam needing Noel and I think this album shows he is truly a talented singer. He may not be able to write the lyrics his brother can, but he can make a band sound great and he has a unique style/vibe about him that fans are drawn to.
That being said I am also looking forward to Noel's solo album. He has written some of my favorite songs of all time and while I have always preferred Liam's singing, I have really grown to love Noel's voice as it has improved over the years. I believe the fans have all won by getting 2 albums instead of 1 and the comparisons to Oasis while inevitable, at least won't hold the two brothers back from creating new music that we can all enjoy.
