Was just thinking that its possible that this song is actually Show Me You Love. The SMYL verse would sound awesome before before the clip part. SMYL seems to be done in two different keys in the clips and it does seem very possible ... i'm wondering if anyone has an ear to guess the chords of both songs. That way I can create the ultimate song on my guitar

It is indeed possible. What we have heard from the 2005 SMYL will probably have undergone some changes by now, and FA isn't too far from it.

Ok so I worked some of it out Thanks to LIAM ...
Liam teh chords to Show me your love are
B F# E
The chords to the part that comes on immidiately (then breaks) then goes to "For anyone who wants ... For Anyone who ..."
Are ... get this ... E F# and B. This is really interesting ... its something that I would do writing a basic song as its a super easy transition and sounds great. I'm trying to figure out that middle section but it sounds like its a perfect match.

BTW: If anyone out there is actually a good guitarist (i've only been playing for a year) with a good ear please chime in. Bear in mind I probably think like Liam G. at this point and this is exactly how i write transitions haha.

Ok I just spent forever figuring out the real chords to Show me your Love: These are 100%! I noticed he had a Capo on the second fret and nearly freaked out since my is broken but since these are barre chords that shouldn't matter (except it makes the F# easier for him to play when he does the quick transition). C# G# I should get money B G# F# It's about Time I also think i've ruined my dream of this being the same song unless he totally changed keys

Ok so I put together a cover of what the full song MIGHT sound like. Of course BE's would be much much better. As I said before i'm just a beginner on guitar and can't sing ... I had to switch SMYL to an A key for it to work. Here goes ...

What is the appeal of show me your love?! it reminds me of the obsession with record machine and STC.. its almost like people want what they cant have. but i really dont hear anything mindblowing and the beady eye clips sound MUCH better than show me your love in my opinion

I don't think it's like record machine or STC though. We have full demos of those. We've got like 15 seconds of Show Me Your Love! And it's not that groundbreaking. It more like If I had a gun/if there's a god...but @ least we have over a minute of that.

The obsession is beyond bizarre, I agree. I can't think of any 15 second clip of music that would get me as excited as Show Me Your Love does for some people on here. And that particular clip is nothing special, anyway.

I agree it is a "little" obsessive but i've been humming the "show me your love" verse and could not get it out of my head. I feel the same way about "If I Had a Gun." Nevertheless I think For Anyone will be a classic either way ... It sounds like a cross between "There She Goes" and a Guns and Roses song called "I use to love her" (which, although I don't like all their stuff - this song in particular is awesome).

Because there's so little of it, it remains perfect because everyone can imagine the rest of the song the way they'd like it. And therefore it's perfect. Of course if the song carried and you hear the Lennon rip off parts, and the embarrassing rhyming couplets, the rubbish guitar break and the extra minute of the song that wasn't needed, and ppl wouldn't hail it so much

This is probably the really short song for the ladies Liam was talking about. Have probably heard about a third of it already so

It's fine as it is but I gotta feeling that if it was longer it would be worse than Little James to be honest. I mean, I don't like it. I REALLY don't like it. I am sick to death of people talking about it like it has the possibility of it being Liams best ever song!

^ I'm more sick of it because it's laughable, the whole concept. It's 10 damn seconds. 10 seconds does not constitute a song. Who even knows if he wrote the rest? I don't even care if he did or didn't.

i thought show me your love sounded like a good little pop tune. But i can't think of where else it would go besides what we've heard already.
