I have no doubt that Liam knows what is going on with Noel. I don't think they are talking though.
They have been running in the same social circles for almost 2 decades. I am sure that they have many friends in common...not just the famous ones that we know that they hang out with like Weller and Kasabian, etc.
It wouldn't be hard for Liam to find out.
Noel is obviously trying to keep everything on the down-low though. Maybe Liam is taking a little poke @ him by leaking bits of information. Just off-the-cuff pranky kind to stuff to get a rise.

Liam is obviously being sarcastic. Didn't know Noel is working together with a band called the Zutons? I don't hope it's for his own solo project. Just checked them out on myspace and they're not very good You've never heard of the Zutons?! Fuck sake mate. Their 1st album was tremendous! |

I dont know if it's sarcasam or a message about Noel but then he did kind of cryptically Tweet "Get you get me I'm standing on the edge of noise" before the album tracklisting. Which I assume is lyrics from that song.
So Noel could be working with the Zutons or it could just be Liam being Liam.. Who knows!?!

I think its Liam being cheeky. There's a chorus starting to form of people saying that Noel is working on an album and Noel is the only one denying it.
I dont think that this would wind Noel up, for the pure fact that he's not really saying anything. I think to a point Noel likes when people spill the beans about his projects. Mainly because he keeps publicity going on without him having to do anything. So I dont think that this will get under Noel's skin and he might even be welcoming it to a point.
Even though it was done in a cheeky fashion, I still like that Liam was willing to say "merry christmas", mainly because he didnt have to say anything at all and none of us would've questioned him saying nothing at all. So the fact that he took the effort, is a sign that maybe their relationship isnt as fractured as originally thought. Even though, both will deny talking to each other.
I still think that there'll be a Noel solo album by late 2011 or early 2012. He might even follow the same time line as BDI, with a little single late in the year, another at the begining of the other, and then the album.

Why would Liam, of all people, know about Noel's work? They don't talk, remember? I guess it's more an ironic jibe at Noel. Just showing he doen't need him. Liam predicted 9/11, he's knows everything. |
