If it hasn't been released nearly 6 years after we first heard it the songwriter obviously doesn't see much *potential* in it.

The Roller seems to have been released 8 or 9 years after it was rumoured for an album so there is a big change it has revolved but there are a lot of people on here talking too much about it. Its 20 seconds of a song with a few words and chords.

You say that as if Noel and the lads have consistently released their best tracks. Which we all know they haven't. Then there's the example of Noel with both LTBL and STC. Took Noel ages to get LTBL (ie It's a Crime) to where he wanted it, and he has admitted he has several versions of STC knocking around, never fully pleased with any of them. Just because they haven't been released doesn't make them shit, doesn't make it that the songwriter thinks they are bad, and doesn't mean the songs lack potential.

Maybe Liam never finnished it and we'll never see it? How people think it's brilliant from two short little clips, i'll can't understand. Although, knowing Liam, those two clips repeated is probably the whole song anyway... We see the potential of it. Just like STC, and RM, and "If there's a God" Oasis had some real proper *potential* classics left in them, and then there are the countless bits of material we have no idea about. that's a shoulda coulda woulda situation, and a pretty dangerous road to lead down. do you know how many fragments and ideas musicians have? they can't develop them all. that's why they play some of them at soundchecks-- it's a way to hear how they sound in a live setting. also, 2005 was five years ago. (i know-- holy shit! 5 years?!) i would hope that a group of musicians would have more ideas than just one fragment from five years ago.

Difference is that we have whole demos for STC and RM. If I had a Gun we have 2 minutes of and If theres a God we have over a minute of. I hardly think SMYL is the same thing. Show Me Your Love I have heard 20 seconds of on the generous side...and I don't think that that 20 seconds is that great really. Not great enough that I JUST HAVE TO HEARD IT! I haven't heard enough of it to really prefer it to any of the other multitude of material that I haven't heard anything from. I think the only reason that we keep going on about it is that it's the only song that we know Liam wrote while still will Oasis. With all the uncertainty of BDI...I think some people are just clinging to what little knowledge they have
