Liam Gallagher assures us new band Beady Eye is totally, definitely absolutely nothing at all like old band Oasis. When he goes on tour next year with Andy Bell Chris Sharrock and Gem Archer it will be strictly new songs only.
Gem told Q magazine: "There will be no Oasis songs either, if you were going to ask." The six-date tour begins on March 3 in Glasgow, before London and Manchester. Glad they cleared that up.

It's been reported by abconcerts.be that the band's debut album will be in stores on 28th February 2011.

That's good. New band and new songs, that's how should be.

Nice. I thought that we might have to wait till April for the album. Were probably going to get a new single in January. You would think. I hope the next one is better than BTL.

Whats this about the album being released on 28th Feb? Is this bullshit do you reckon?? Both Andy Bell and Liam mentioned that they would not tour clubs and play live material until the public had the album in hand so the timing for an album release should be before the first March dates then....

Like I've said recently, now we have the March tour dates I firmly believe we will have a single in Jan/Feb and the album in Feb. I would say I am 99% sure we will see it before March.
I'm really hoping Beady Eye take over 2011. They could potentially have a single and album out by Feb, tour the UK & Europe in March as well as later on in the year and wedge festivals in the middle. Probably be a US tour too so plenty of material and gigs from Beady Eye in the next 12 months and I really can't wait.

If they do a US leg, then its gonna have to be really short and very small. Oasis could barely fit any of the US's small arenas (most have a 8,000-20,000 capacity). I couldnt image BDI doing anything with a capasity over 2,500. I just don't people in America coming out to see them. I mean if you look at any Oasis show in America, 30% of the people who were there, were there to hear Wonderwall & CS.
They'll probably have to do places like the House Of Blues. They'll have to pretty small venues & I doubt if they hit more than 6-7 cities. Liam and co will probably have to stick to large cities like Chicago, LA, New York, Boston ect. Some say that they will attract non Oasis fans. I doubt that. That might happen in the UK, but in the US Liam is seen as a big joke, no matter what music he puts out.
I think that the US tour BDI does will be pretty small.

I don't doubt that a US tour would be small, I mean look at how the UK tour has been scaled down. There's no doubt that Beady Eye will need to work their way up.
I think they would be stupid if they didn't go to America.

930 Club. Seriously. Draw from the many universities in the DC area. Promote BDI with an Oasis tagline (the remnants of Oasis, or whatever), and you'd be able to fill the 1,000 capacity venue. It's smart to target the youth like this in a big city.
Also, Liam is not seen as a joke here. He's too unknown to be seen as anything. People may know Oasis' hits here, but the Gallagher's are no longer house hold names and haven't been since the mid 90s in the US.

It will be really good to see them in small places though, I saw Oasis at Poole Lighthouse when there was only 2,000 there. Fantastic gig.

I wish they would announce the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool as a gig, that would be a really nice place for them to play.

Do they mean Oasis-Noel songs, or really none of all the Oasis songs? Probabably the latter, it's a shame. I'd love to hear SB, TUTS, BWTB etc. Live... Why wouldn't they play it, it are their own songs...?
