Tom Meighan saying stuff like "it's not Oasis anymore" just gives off certain vibes. Then there's Serge's obvious lack of enthusiasm when questioned about it recently and Gem's comment about there being lots of Little Richard-esque rock 'n' roll piano.
Not to mention, Bring The Light has to be one of the worst debut singles of all time.

lol "it's not oasis, it must suck". Sounds like the album will be a bit too broad for the tastes of some oasis fans. I don't think it's hard to imagine the comment sounding on the side of "it doesn't have that oasis magic", but said in a more polite way. The first two songs sound like HC/DBTT era oasis. which to me is like failed experimentation or just weak productions. At least Lyla and Hindu Times got me excited for an upcoming record (oasis or otherwise). These two new songs get me more nervous than anything. I like them, i don't love them. |

This album will have 1 or 2 really great songs, about 3-4 okay songs and about 3-4 forgettable songs. Overall it will be an average album. Anything else will surprise me. I will give u the reason. No matter what everyone says, its Noels songwriting that carried Oasis and without noel their wouldn't even be a live4ever.us. What makes everyone honestly think that these guys can write epic songs?. Liam will have his 1 or 2 on the album,andy might have one and gem is good for 1. That's all folks

^^I agree with you, but its just too early to tell. Need to wait until the album comes out to judge. I'm trying to take all my preconcieved notions out of this. Hopefully when I listen to the album, I won't have any expectations (low or high).

Let's be honest; they've struggled to do 10 good tracks combined throughout their carrier.
I really can't see them pulling a rabbit out of the hat for this one. I'll be happy to get 2-3 great tracks.

why is everyone so ungrateful of what they are trying to do! it is really boring me now! would u all rather liam and the band did nothing?? surely not! noels songwriting is one in a million so u cant expect the same standard as oasis! just enjoy what they do and if u dnt like it dnt listen to it.

to be fair gem,andy and liam have all wrote quality tracks for oasis but youve also gotta remember the tracks that they got on oasis albums were from what noel picked!standing on the edge of noise was a demo for the last album so your gonna see a little oasis sound in there.and from what ive heard the beady eye album is really good!in the end they all kind of hampered each other in oasis an i think thats why theyve had the break there having.do you think noels solo album will sound like oasis???itll sound nothing like ,if anything your gonna get an album of burt bacharach and neil young sounding stuff.also some guy pointed out what makes you think they can start writing songs???well theyve all worte some quality tracks in the past an maybe just maybe they may have learnt something from one of the greatest songwriters of alltime??

Im really happy with those first two songs. I love rock'n'roll and im glad to hear the album is gonna be full of it. Its something different from oasis, and also something i was missing. Cant wait for the album!

I'm apprehensive, especially after hearing some of the song titles, but I reckon they can just about pull it off  after all its only the debut, the second album will probably be an improvement on the formula... Christ a second album just seems so, so far away. Maybe Oasis will reform and it'll never happen  |

After giving Sons of the Stage a fair share of listens, I think both tracks are absolutely rubbish and signs aren't looking good for the album.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong, and I hope I am.
