no, but we CAN assume that it is a single. we shouldn't assume it isn't a single just because once upon a time someone released a song (with a video) and it ended up being only a "promotional deal"

Ever since they said the video would have a dancer in it I just had a feeling it would be like this:
From the looks of that short clip I think I will be right

Surely we wait until it's confirmed as a single? And also....I only gave you one example, it doesn't mean it has happened only once. It happens many a time and has become more common in recent years.

stop giving examples of "exceptions to the rule", NORMALLY video are released in support of SINGLES, that's all. We can not say "oh well this one time, this one group released this one video in support of this one song that wasn't necessarily a single" He's just saying we can't conclude there'll be a CD single just because Bring The Light has a music video. Which is true. Besides, there are loads of videos to songs that havne't been released as singles. I could even name a handfull by Oasis. name them.

They were all named above a while ago. Radio releases are not the same as single releases, buddy. england isn't the world. people don't buy singles in the states so a radio single is the same-thing. the music video was used to promote airplay which drives the single charts in the united states.

Most pointless teaser ever. 15 seconds, of which the majority was blurred? Pointless.

We can't conclude we are getting a CD single for Bring The Light just because they've made a video. That is all.

Right so it's as I said in a previous post. The 1st video is a snippet as a promo for the band.
The "Dancer" video is a 2nd video for the "Single"...So there!!

Still, that "sound" is not gonna help BDI's cause.

Yeah so what if its a single, if anything it just says to me that it is the most poppy of all. Is The Hindu Times the best on HC, TSOTL the best on DOYS? They release something that is public friendly and leave the more complex and meaty stuff on the album. Expect Liam ballads and hard Andy rock to come, this is about as 50's as it will get in my opinion. The album will be a good record. Good point, but are telling me that if look at all of Oasis' debut singles that they were not the 4 or 5 strongest tracks on the album? Supersonic:Yes, SMS:Yes, DYKWIM:Yes, GLIO:Yes, HT:Yes, Lyla:Yes, TSOTL:Yes. If you go by that thinking we're basically saying that BTL is one of the 4 or 5 strongest tracks which is sad if thats the case. Think of it like this, if you argue against that thinking and say that BTL is not one of the 5 strongest tracks then you're saying that BDI just the Hey Now of their album instead of the SMS.

People are acting like it happened a shit load of times with Oasis, but in a over 15 year career they only did it twice really. Still cant see why poeple automatically think that BDI did the same thing on the first time out.

^^The other "promo" vidoes were singles in certain countries so they count as singles. Good example is that most Oasis fans count DGA as a single even though it was only a single in Japan. Smae concept with the rest of the "promo" singles. Just because it wasnt a single in your country doesnt disqualify it from being a single in other countries and thereby being called a single. Very close minded view of the world if you ask me.

I'd be more tempted to say Roll With It, not lyrically brilliant and not the best tune on the record by far but works well as a single as it is catchy and furious. I totally understand what you mean though
