Sorry for making a new thread but this could be serious news. The major norwegian cd retailer "Platekompaniet" are listing "Bring The Light" to be released 15-11-2010. It could be wrong, but I thought it was interesting to point out. mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product_track&productId=4810401I will try to contact them, and ask if the actual release date is in fact on the 15th of November :-) |

Ok, here goes. A user on a norwegian Oasis forum, brought to my attention that Platekompaniet, which is basically Norways biggest music retailer, lists the release date for Bring The Light for 15 november! It also says that the length of the track is 03.42. mp3.platekompaniet.no/site/web3/view.ftl?page=product&productId=4810400Might be a slip up, but again, this is Norways biggest music retailer, and I guess you could say that this is Norways equivalent of HMV. Mind you, this is refering to the mp3. A search on the site for Beady Eye lists only this song. I also tried searching for Sons Of Stage, but that search resulted in nothing. So, can we all expect Bring The Light next week??? I'm surprised how fast this is moving to be honest!! |

No doubt that it will make it's radio premiere today or tomorrow.
And maybe the digital release will be 15th of November, and physical the week after?
Anyhow I will keep you updated, as soon as I get answer from them!

seems early though? I mean still no radio play but a release date of next week?? Seems strange.
It would be kinda interesting to see how it would plan out if they did do it that way, literally drop the single and say "there you f*cking go"!!!!!!!

What would be really interesting is if they release two singles either side of Christmas (November & January) that aren't on the album. Bring The Light and a b-side and another single and a b-side in a couple of months.
They could just stick them out pretty quick and let people get acquainted with the new set up and sound and then drop the album next year and do a big promotion and then tour with it.
Very unlikely, but if the single is released on the 15/11 then it would explain why things are being done pretty quick and on the quiet.

what it seems like, is that we'll get a digital release the 15th, the vinyl release 1 week later the 22nd with 1 b-side, and then the CD release sometime after the vinyl release with 1 or more B-sides
