they opened up with a famous acoustic song. It's hard to predict what they will open up with . Each night is a changing set list. They never, ever play the same set list. Tonight was vintage. The lead singer Tim Booth and the lead guitarist Larry Gott emerged from the back of the hall as the lights went out. An acoustic version of Sit Down was performed as Tim Booth and Larry Gott made their way to the stage among wild scenes. A joyous celebration came over the crowd. Upon reaching the stage Sit Down had reached it's end climax and the rest of the band joined the stage. Best opening to a concert since the last time i saw them at the GMEX two years ago. The concert from there on in, was wild. Tim Booths voice is an instrument. The best UK vocalist of his generation. :)Tonight was the 15th time i've seen this band. They just get better. Pure musicians. Best fans in the world. Manchester best ever band.

It's amazing to think that James have been going for 25 years. Originally signed to Factory records and supported The Smiths on the Meat Is Murder tour. Today they are a true class act. Almost underground legends. They avoid media and hype. Just great music and amazing live shows. I consider Tim Booth to be one of the finest singer/song writers of the last 30 yeas. The man is a legend. Amazing band!

Possibly their finest song. The word classic does not do this song justice! The best!

Bit much. They're not even the greatest band in Manchester, and I dare say most people wouldn't even place them within the top five.
