‘I’m not in it for a career, I’m here to touch people.’Being delayed for half an hour by US immigration officials at JFK airport and spending the next day throwing up in his hotel room was not exactly what Liam Gallagher had in mind for his recent trip to New York City. Although his bout with food poisoning forced Liam to cancel high profile promotional appearances including a segment on the Jimmy Fallon show, you shouldn’t necessarily feel bad for him. In February Liam accepted, on the behalf of Oasis, the Brit Award for best album of the last 30 years for the band’s 1994 record (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, and just as he was arriving in New York, Q Magazine announced that its readers had voted Liam the greatest frontman of all time (beating out such rock luminaries as John Lennon, Freddie Mercury and Bono!). While fans anxiously await to savor the fruits of Liam’s post-Oasis musical endeavors (new single hitting the shelves this fall!), the rock megastar is not content to limit himself simply to rock n’ roll. Having conquered the musical world, Liam has branched out , launching his own clothing line Pretty Green in the summer of 2009. Nevertheless, although Liam was in New York to promote the redesign of Prettygreen.com and US online store launch, music is never far from his mind. In another Live4ever exclusive, we sat down with Liam in a posh midtown Manhattan hotel. Clad in a Pretty Green camouflaged parka, perched on an antique Victorian armchair and surrounded by tea-sipping, elderly matrons, the ‘Rock n’ Roll Star’ dished candidly about the clothing line, the spoils of the Internet, the big Apple, his newest band member, being deemed the greatest front man in history and the current void of inspiring music and true rock stars. Great interview webby, I'm sure it was pretty cool for you. So do you know if Liam is definitely not making up the Jimmy Fallon appearance?

ok, if i'm being totally honest here, pretty good interview... i give you credit for having the stones to say: I like good music too, but I know what I felt listening to ‘Definitely Maybe’, and I know I feel the same way when I listen to a lot of music nowadays…ouch! i'm just curious as to what music you were referring to webby? because in my case no other band makes me feel the way oasis does... it seems that liam did get put out a bit by that, and things got a little awkward after... but maybe it would have been different to have actually been in the room at that moment? because sometimes its hard to tell with just words on a page, reading it... but again, nice job overall.

I was a bit disappointed, maybe because I expected to much.. But there was not a lot of new things which came out of it And you should have asked him about this community if he's aware or if he ever reads l4e threads or something. But its easy for me to say, props for the interview though!

I was a bit shocked too, maybe not the smartest thing to say as the head of one of the biggest Oasis fansites Nice interview, anyway. I'm wondering if the 'new songbird' is Show Me Your Love? It could well be.

Nice interview mate, it's funny that Liam's quite keen on Kasabian when to me they don't seem like his type of band. Especially in the last album where the started to incorporate disco like vibes and a bit of a grungy feel.

We agreed on going with the transcription. The audio tape though is always more interesting of course when you can hear the persons emotions.

some good questions but way to many softies. thanks as you know, there are certain rules to go by which are set up before the interview. We were fortunate to get the interview after Liam canceled all PR the day before. I wanted to ask so much more but the time cap only allowed me these questions, the PG ones are in there as he was on a promotional tour for his site.......

Are the tapes ever going to get released? You can even edit your voice out of the clips and put the questions in text form in a video
