How will the first Post-Oasis album by Liam, Andy and Gem sound like ? What do you expect?
I guess a lot of Lennon influences (cos Liam is he's reincarnation as he said himself lol) ... some Outta time kinda piano songs will be nice, Liam sounds good in those (SCYHO etc.) Hopefully also some acoustic stuff, and some rock n roll tunes.
And hopefully not like Man Of Mystery ... that was a real shit song i think .. Liam sounded redicilous, and it sounded like a demo...
what do you expect, and what would you like ?

i think it may sound punkier
more songs like Hung in a Bad place - but better (well words wise anyway)
hopefully they are all writing together, because lyrically with Liam, Gem and Andy - we could get some really good songs if they combine together

Well, here's some songs that may be on the album:
"Show Me Your Love" - The brilliant Liam tune from the dvd singles documentary way back from the Don't Believe The Truth era.
"Cut'n'Shut" - Or was that Sweet'n'Sour? Well, anyways, it was that tune from the Lord Don't Slow Me Down documentary that Gem and Andy worked on while the rest of the band sat and watched fotbal in the neighbour room. Sounded brilliant!
Evil Eye - Then there's Liams much talked about rocker, Evil Eye. Might sound like a cross between The Meaning Of Soul and Ain't Got Nothin', then again it might also sound like a cross between Live Forever and Champagne Supernova. We ain't heard it yet, so no way to tell. Still, I'm looking forward to hear it.
Man Of Misery - Everyones heard it. With a little work done to it, I think it'll work out as a great b-side. We'll have to wait and see.

We've ain't heard it yet.

its just a demo probally left over from the DBTT sessions that liam wanted to use for pretty green because it sounds a bit like that pop levi song, i dont think itll ever get released. anyway i think the album will probally be alot like the 2nd half of DBTT but a little bit more interesting and experimental with a few more guitar solos

Yeah, Liam will definitely be taking the band in a more faster n punkier direction, saying that though I'm sure it'll have its ballads, like I'm Outta Time n that. I'm more curious to see what stuff they'll play live later this year. If I were Liam I'd leave Oasis where it was n only play NEW material from the 'new' band. I'm sure that'd upset a few fans but its definitely the dignified thing to do. Oasis was Liam n Noel so Liam (n Gem n Andy too) should treat it as a whole new thing n not just a continuation of Oasis, plus I wouldn't be surprised if Gem or Andy started chipping in on vocals on new songs. Who's to say that they can't. They're not in Oasis anymore.
I'm sure the reason we havent heard much from Noel since Oasis split is because he is probably trying to put together a new sound himself. He's got the opportunity now to do something completely free of Oasis, he doesn't have to write songs picturing how they might sound with Liam singing them. He can experiment more n do stuff that he perhaps hasn't been able to have before. I'm kinda worried in a way as it seems Liam is rushing out new material n that. So the bands next album will probably be quite Oasis sounding, without many surprises. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but I'm sure Noel will be looking to do something different now he's on his own.

I really hope this one is on the new album. Sounds like a brilliant cross between Songbrid and Love Like A Bomb.

He's playing some complex chords relatively speaking and barely even looking at his own hands. He's come such a long way!

I liked Man of Misery, good little Punky Liam song, with great bass. Anyways, I see Liam taking this band doing the same thing theyve been doin, I think it will sound alot like the Heathen Chemistry era with songs like Hung in a bad place, the hindu times etc... When Oasis tours, i wonder if their setlist will be shorter, as Liam will no longer have the breaks from which Noel would sing his songs
