I thought my post was pretty funny myself, but apparently you are the only other person who agrees . . . btw whos NL4E?? NL4E - like Cast, I don't have any major issues with him. Some hate him to such an extent, but hey, it's only a forum - it's easy to ignore if you don't agree. I try to stay impartial on this site, and NL4E is no different. However, he's got to learn the difference between fact and opinion!

I had read one of your post about that guy asking for sunglasses, I have to say you're hilarious I'm glad you think so. My candor does tend to rub people up the wrong way. You're attitude on this site is refreshing I have to say. Although, a lot of the time, you remind me of this guy.... I DON'T BELIEVE IT!

I burnt a copy of strangers original cd, and then a bought it. Really psychedelic feel on it, like all my records.
but I disagree with someone who said "i really wish they experimented more like they did for sotsog", because if you think sunday morning call is experimenting, you're way wrong ;D that song was the most "oasis-esque" on the record. they should have kept following in the direction of "go let it out," "gas panic" and "roll it over." I thought my post was pretty funny myself, but apparently you are the only other person who agrees . . . btw whos NL4E?? ¡no quieres ser! he loves oasis more than anything else. he took the breakup of the band worse than someone takes a breakup with a relationship. (en otras palabras, un perdedor. ) seriously, he's a longtime member and contributes a lot to the forum. what "a lot" is, we'll never know.

I don't understand the relation between Victor Meldrew and me He meant me. It's because I have an apparent tendency to discuss things that bother me.

Absolutely nothing has changed:
One through eight, good to great,
the last three: CATASTROPHE.
Truly a shame too, as it had a real chance to fall within their top three LP's, but the whole thing fucking implodes with the first kerrang of ain't got nothin. The vast majority of critical reviews bare this fact out. That said, the overall positive critiques are a testament to the strength of 75-80% of the album.
Hell, even a 8/10 closer could have done some good mop-up work.
Instead, we got a very, very, good, "long" EP.
Least you can let it play through for 40 minutes.
sigh.

I don't know this guy but I see nothing wrong with loving Oasis. I love them since... one year before high school. Already many years ago. Long story. All I can say is that I really love them too. Whenever I like a band, I usually buy the album, I listen to it and then I realize that I only like 3 songs or 4 of it, the rest are terrible.
And with Oasis everything is different, because I like all songs from their albums, of course I have my favourites, but I like all their songs overall.
Has anyone seen them live? I have been fortunate to see them several times, is the most satisfying experience I have lived. Being there, looking at Noel singing his songs, the songs with whom you felt in love, cried, you felt free, got drunk lol.
I have also met wonderful people through his music. And now this stage is closed, and it's not a feeling that pleases me greatly.
So I can assure that many people feel a bit sad about the breakup.

Has anyone seen them live?Anyone seen them live? Hell, probably the majority on this site have seen them live. Me though, I never saw them - always thought I would see them but it was not to be because I live on a rock in the north sea. Oh well, if Noel tours, then I'm going to try and get the first ticket!

anyway, I'm not gonna lie about it, I'm really sad about the split, especially for the bros, but I'm not worried about the music, because it still there.
I've seen them only this year, and its a shame that they'll not play live on these places for a long, long time. so, fans have reasons to be sad, but they need to move on

I'm a bit gutted to be honest, been a fan for years and i've seen them live 14 times but that doesn't mean i'm gonna post another worthless thread every 10 minutes moaning about it. It is what it is, and i'm looking forward to two albums now.

I saw them live in Camden, NJ in Dec 2008 - cant believe it's almost a year. I bought shitty tickets bc I thought the next time I'd see them when they came to the US I'd buy good seats. At least I can say I attended an Oasis gig.

Hmm, I should listen to it again, haven't given it a go for months. Only tune I've been listening from it has been the AA mix of Falling Down.

I know I am in the minority here - but I love the album from start to finish and still listen to it all the time. I think it is some of their best work and I have been a fan since the beginning.
I have loved every Oasis album, even the less than stellar ones, because they all have something special about them.

Sometimes I really really like DOYS (9/10), and other times I think it's good (8/10), but regardless, it could have been AMAZING if a few tracks were changed.
How TBWTB didn't make it is beyond me. TBWTL is solid, but the remix and live versions are so much better - and the outro there are amazing RM would have been a good addition, too
So close to perfection.
Still a rocking album: BIU, TT, FD, IOT, WFTR, TBWTL, TSOTL.....strong list of songs right there

How TBWTB didn't make it is beyond me. We've to agree there, that song is brilliant, but maybe is out because of I'm outta time. Or maybe is incomplete.
