As much as I dig Strokes solo stuff, particularlly Albert's, I'd rather have new Strokes.

I've given up all hope of a new Strokes LP, but I am excited for this. I haven't really liked any of the other solo stuff, but it is the main man Julian.

Man I remember seeing them in Minneapolis at Fist Ave in 2001 right before Is This It came out. Awesome show with the Moldy Peaches opening. It seemed like the world was theirs for the taking and it just never happened. I might have to put that album on and relive some memories.

So... NO WAY for this slapping head... Strokes is a "rock band" due to the money and good relationship of his multi millionar father... New Album produced by Gwen Stefanni and Coldplay... end of the thread. BYE !

The strokes are brilliant and you are a snob curlies. Judge music by it's merit not by anything else. I'm working class and I'm offended by what you've said.
I'm not sure if I like the sound of this album though if that was a clip of anything on that teaser that was posted. I don't like this retro thing bands are doing lately, is anyone planning to take music forward at all?

Sorry it's probably just physical... You know... Casablancas remind me one of those fuckers you met one night at a party whose claims doing a fucking good rock'n roll... It's probably bad or good... Whatever... It's just a slaping head for me... Maybe I've got a real problem with those new rock band... Like the Enemy...
Probably...

Who cares who produced it, it's still his music. Dave sardy is a terrible producer and you still listen to oasis. The production on kasabian's new album is probably the worst i've heard but the music's still good, and you called it the best album since DM etc.
Where did you even hear they are producing his solo album anyway? You got a link?

The only new band I love is Kasabian... Coz they bring something, a fuking attitude and anthems... Yes... I'm getting older and angry now

SOTSOG is Oasis' best sounding album and Stent did S Club 7.

Every tracks are so differents but there is a unit and a story on this album... Dan the Automator is just the best producer in the world... (Dj Shadow - Gorillaz) Just have a listenning on Dj Shadow - Midnight in a perfect world... Symply the most beautiful track in the world.

I'm sick of this WRPLA hype, the only things that link the album are poor lyrics and an effect that makes it sound like the whole thing's been recorded off the radio. It's anything but the concept album they raved about that was going to tell a story.
Don't get me wrong, I love kasabian. But everyone's going too far.

The band got the song writing, the producer got the soul. The producer influence is very important.
(quellophant) there is no hype for the kasabian album... They swin on an empty sea... Absolutely no concurence. They just got a solid new album like the doves. A solid album where every tracks are great is absolutely amazing from our time.

Casablancas has lead a more rock n roll style (while being in a band) than this forums beloved Kasabian. I'm not saying that matters but The Strokes have the rock n roll attitude regardless of their class back grounds. A good producer is a good producer they don't write the tunes or perform them.

Ah come on man, dismissing the record cos the producer's past is in bad taste, if you know what I means. West Ryder is fucking rocking, deserves the mercury nomination, but that's another thread.
