Because it's sounds like The Beatles and has pseudo-philosophical lyrics.

Because it's sounds like The Beatles and has pseudo-philosophical lyrics. So yeah you think because it has sitar they sound the same. The two songs themselves are really nothing a like. Even the lyrics aren't that pseudo philosophical except maybe the title and its use in the song.

It's just one of the elements. Well tell me how then? Because I've just listened to those songs together and they aren't alike. Does it have a Beatles feel, I suppose to many it might. But does that make it bad or a rip off? I personally don't think so.

She is Love by a fucking mile,
It's the biggest pile of steaming turd that ever sporned from Noel's brain,
To make matter's worse, it was a double a-side! How did that song even make it past the demo stage without someone saying 'Noel that piece of senitmental shite wouldn't even make a Kooks album??'

(As Long As They've Got) Cigarettes In Hell- has to be the worst. Agree. Bought the Go Let It Out single for that and Lets All Make Believe, but Cigarettes In Hell is absolutely dire.

Cigarettes in hell is decent, there are far worse Oasis songs. Not to mention it was only a b-side, it wouldn't even be one of the 2 worst songs on SOTSOG.

I voted for The Nature of Reality but honourable mentions go to I Can See a Liar, PYMWYMI, She Is Love and High Horse Lady

I love Mucky fingers and the meaning of soul and aint got nothing are pretty good.
For me the worst songs are:
-Born on a different cloud: had a lot of potential but its ultimately really boring and sounds like 3 weird songs in one.
-Magic Pie: shit
-Stop the clocks: boring
-Sunday morning call: boring
-Take me away (way to whiny!)
-Headshrinker: how this was voted one of the best oasis songs on this board is beyond me!
-Probably all in my mind: boring and quite shit

Shit. I had this huge post about songs that are hated by most of you but which I quite like, and what's good or bad about them and stuff, but then I accidentally closed the page, the doofus I am.
Anyway, I like FON, except from the growls and that line near the end of which I still don't know what it is.
LJ has a nice melody but dreadful lyrics, so does PYMWYMI (even though it's ripped off), SMC is boring and drags on but I can enjoy it sometimes, I like the keyboards in She Is Love, the rest about it is crap. (You've got) the heart of a star has a nice wintery melody, but the lyrics bother me. The title itself makes me gag and ''come on all my brothers and sisters'' annoys me.
There are actually quite a few B-sides that are not memorable at all. Some very boring ones and some bad ones. My Sister Lover is pretty bad. Carry Us All, The Fame, One Way Road and a lot of others are pretty meh. These are songs I forget about. I haven't listened to them often enough to judge about the songwriting because I can't even remember what half of them sound like.
The only B-side I can think of that I really hate hate hate is Round Are Way. It's not a very bad song, I'm just not a fan of harmonicas. I haven't listened to the boring B-sides enough to decide.
I love GOYHHL, it has a nice groove. I actually like most of the DOYS album, except for The Nature Of Reality. That, for me, is obviously the worst song on DOYS. And even that song has a few nice moments. I like those ''Blablabla is/are only in your miiiiiiiind'' bit and it has a good solo. I like TBWTL, I think I have defended that song in another thread already but I will do it again. It has a nice melody, lyrics that aren't that bad. It just misses the guitars that they did have in the live versions.
Oh yeah, can't stand Fade In/Out. I'll probably come up with more later.

I'd thankfully forgotten it existed until it came on shuffle earlier which sparked that rant.

(Probably) All in the Mind is easily the biggest piece of shit Oasis has ever done, and therefore is the worst.
I was gonna add in Nature of Reality as one of the worst songs, along with PAITM, but the blues guitars & instrumentation in it save the song from being the absolute worst.

By the way, Mucky Fingers and I Can See a Liar have no place on the options, but it's a bit too late to edit of course
