Either you believe he was mentally damaged at a young age, prevented a childhood, was exploited by the media and lying families who charged him of molestation, and was excessively mocked and ridiculed which lead him to such a downturn from the late 1980s/early 1990s which eventually caused his death
Or
You believe he has only himself to blame
Personally, I believe the former with the latter being cold hearted, false, and harsh.
I feel bad for the man. I feel bad he never got the help he so clearly needed. And I feel bad that he was treated just like The Elephant Man - someone who was fun to laugh and mock, instead of respecting.
Personally, I hope the media and society in general are ashamed of themselves.

No. I don't feel bad for a deranged someone who hated himself so much he was willing to whiten his skin and do a million facial surgeries, or someone who touched little boys, slept with them, or even hang his own from a balcony.

He didn't touch children and he didnt whiten his skin. I feel more sorry for the people who read shit tabloid trash newspapers and believe every word they say without doing their research first.

I don't believe he ever touched a child; even at age 50 he was still a child himself! His best friend was a pet monkey named bubbles! He was still stuck in childhood himself, it's logical that other children are his best friend. He underwent nose surgery to look like Peter Pan ffs! And why do you think he named his range Neverland?
People can't decide how they grow up, and it's obvious he's lived a horrible life. I really feel bad for Michael Jackson. Oh, and he had a skin disease; he never whitened his skin.

of course i feel bad for him. he never had a childhood. however, the things he definitely did (as well as the things he may or may not have done) since his adulthood are inexcusable. that i don't feel sorry for.

Ye had a disease which gave him white patches on his skin. So he underwent surgery to make him pale everywhere. I think it was a bold move. It made him an ideal human rights symbol. Perhaps that didnt really happen as much as it could have.

Look, it's one thing to ridicule Britney Spears for a few weeks bc she went mental and shaved her head....it's another thing to mock someone who has been severley effected since, basically, birth (4 years old).
NYR, I find your response contradictory. You feel bad for him because he never had a childhood yet you find his actions later in life inexcusable? Excuse me, but WTF? Him lacking a childhood cause him to act, at the very leas partly, weird later in life. Lacking a childhood IS THE EXUCE for his odd behavior.
As for Eva: While I agree his whitening is odd (The disease is suppose to be only in patches, not the entire fucking body!) it's still undetermined the cause and/or motivation. Furthermore, who the fuck should care about his appearance? Seriously. That's the problem with society....we've gotten over most problems, like racism (not entirely, but for the most part, mind), but society still has some idiotic fixation with what people do to their own body. It's not for you to say if Michael whitening his skin intentionally and doing the plastic surgey (WHICH WAS PARTLY DUE TO HIS DAD MOCKING HOW HE LOOKED!!!!!....ANOTHER TRAGIC PART OF HIS LIFE) is right or wrong......
Lastly, Eva: 1.) I don't believe he touched little boys. People just exploited his weirdness for monetary gains by jumping on the fact he "slept with" boys 2.) Parents are to blame, especially post 1993 but even before then. Come on now. 3.) Of course hanging a child from a balcony is bad parenting, no matter who u are, and is pretty much inexcusable.....but imagine (probable) mental disorder in addition to the adrenalin rush....of course he was in the wrong there, but no way in hell did he intend to intentionally endanger the life of the child.
While he was no doubly weird, im fully convinced the man had a kind heart.

I mean theres A LOT of people that despite all the difficulties in childhood can succeed and be great people. I'm not denying MJs difficulties, but there are far worse things you can pass in life. Maybe the Vitiligo worsened his adult life a lot but thats life man, a rollercoaster. When he was 5 his face was on tv at expenses of his childhood. But at that age theres a lot of kids being raped or living in the complete misery (ovbiously at expenses of their childhoods), and some of them are capable to get over it and continue.

^exactly! that's no excuse at all and NL4E, I don't care about appearances I just, in general, don't understand people who hate themselves and don't accept who they are, or want to change who they are to please others. which is the exact opposite! And I happen to think he did that and I couldn't care any less if he wanted to look like peter pan or whoever, that's just wrong.

That logic is flawed. Everyone is different and therefore react differently to situations. By your logic, the government shouldn't help the poor at all because of people like Noel, Liam, Bill Cosby, a host of normal non-celebs too, tc who never went to college and had a hard life but managed to make something of themselves on their own..... I feel bad of MJ because he was treated unfairly, and people didn't understand him, and he was unable to change on his own - he needed outside help which noone really ever provided him with. Sad life.

But man I'm not speaking by logic. Like I said, there are some people (not only kids) who live worse situations in life and get over them. I think that MJ could have asked for help much earlier and have avoided many of the problems he had later. The point is that I can feel bad about the lack of childhood he had, but there is no excuse to mature during the passage of years. PD.:I'm not speaking bout your government, but is an obvious thing that we all have the obligation to help the poor, no matter of their situations. The difference with MJ is that this isn't a money problem, this is a problem of personality.

Michael Jackson has been a hack for a very long time. He was a very egotistical person who believed his own hype. He has abused himself and others for the past 20 years. Oh and by the way...he has been musically irrelevant for nearly the last 20 years.

Who cares if Jackson had decorations like that? That's his business, not yours 2.) Secondly, he most likely had a mental disorder. Next time you see a retarded person literally point and laugh at them, see what that gets you....Michael couldn't help being the way he was, and that's why people should feel bad about him. He was mentally deranged. Again, you wouldn't laugh at a retarded person, nor a clinically depressed friend, so why do people fo it to Jackson? Fucking pathetic. [Leave Jackson aloneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol ]

Lacking a childhood IS THE EXUCE for his odd behavior. no it absolutely is not. there is no excuse for his behavior. what happened to him in childhood is irrelevant to his actions as an adult. you're treating him like a child yourself, telling us he didn't know any better. i highly, highly doubt he didn't know what he was doing.

I don't feel sorry for anyone who's dead. I wish I wasn't born so I wouldn't have the option to live or die. Knowing you will die is fucking scary.

No. I don't think most people fear death, but rather fear the actual act of dying. A slow and painful death is scary, passing away peacefully in your sleep isn't - although it's of course disturbing to think about, regardless.
