Right now I think Messi is better than C.Ronaldo. Not last season, alright, but now.
And btw, C.Ronaldo never did anything with portugal either.

and Messi with Argentina? the olimpyc games? they lost the final of America's cup 3-0 vs Brazil, and have done nothing in world championships since Maradona could still run

Ronaldo is exceptionally good, but Messi is really something else. He has amazing balance, whilst Ronaldo struggles to keep his ;D. Messi also has a more intelligent football brain. Ronaldo is number one at the moment, but should Barca keep playing the way they are and win at least La Liga/Champions league then Messi will be number one.

Thing is, none of these players will ever acheive Zizou's class or Cantona's legendary status.

Thing is, none of these players will ever acheive Zizou's class or Cantona's legendary status. I doubt that anyone outside the Premier League sees Cantona as a legend. He did f'all in the Champions League and for France. He was a top player, but Messi can overtake him easily with a few La Liga's and another Champions league. Getting Zizou's status is another matter, but not impossible in a game currently dominated by tall, strong players.

Zizou is in the top 5 of all time with Di Stéfano, Pelé, Cruyff and Maradona. I don't think Messi can ever reach this level, he's great at running and dribbling but doesn't have their class.

I don't think Messi can ever reach this level, he's great at running and dribbling but doesn't have their class. How? Because he's considered the best player in the world at the age of 22? Because he's already won two European Cups and three league championships? Because his 38 goals have helped his team become the first in Spanish football history to complete a treble? Because he's nailed on to win next year's Ballon D'or? Or because he plays for Barcelona? Doesn't have their class. What utter shite.

Zizou is in the top 5 of all time with Di Stéfano, Pelé, Cruyff and Maradona. Oh, and excellent job ignoring George Best, despite him being almost universally considered alongside Pele and Maradona - even by the players themselves - as one of the three greatest footballers ever to grace the earth.

I never questioned his football skills. I simply stated my opinion that he is a vagina. A selfish one at that.

George Best?? top 3 ever? SERIOUSLY? this is too much even for you universal states are made on your town? or do you think you're the boss cos you edit some wikipedia articicles? who's next? Cantona? Giggs? they are the best ever? giving the best player trophy to a guy who has played 12 matches shows many things about your team. and not good at all... but hey, it is universally known who are the best... It's gonna be so funny when I post the declarations of Ronaldo saying he wants to come here

Because he's already won two European Cups and three league championships? Karembeu won a world cup, european cup, champions league, leagues... ain't talking about trophies Because his 38 goals have helped his team become the first in Spanish football history to complete a treble? Because he's nailed on to win next year's Ballon D'or? when did I say he's not one of the best now? I can't talk about premier stars cos I don't see them often, but Iniesta plays better imo. just my opinion, most people think Messi is the king Or because he plays for Barcelona? Doesn't have their class. What utter shite. Kaká was the best ever when he scored that goal at Old Trafford. Ronaldinho was on 2005. C Ronaldo was a legend last year, and so many have passed like them. Now it's just the turn of Messi. he'll be chosen the best this year for sure, but that doesn't make him the best one in HISTORY. and as I said before, Messi can dribble 4 defenses and score, but he doesn't have the same level of technique Zizou had. that's class. he could do more beautiful things than Messi without running and being 20 cm taller and much slower. you think I say this cos he playes for Barcelona? the difference between you and me is that I raise my eyes and you keep looking at your shoes

This has nothing to do with being a Manchester United fan. It's just common knowledge. Fuck, half of the players that you listed rate him as one of the greatest players of all-time. Want proof? www.sportinglife.com/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/05/11/26/manual_074734.htmlAs for Ryan Giggs: whether or not you choose to acknowledge him, the fact is that he WILL go down as one of the greatest players ever. Consistent quality at the highest level for almost two decades; and the most decorated player in the history of English football. Would you begrudge Maldini the same honour? Oh, and his award? That was voted for by the PFA. His fellow professionals. It had nothing to do with United. And by the best, I'm presuming you mean Barcelona, bearing in mind that football isn't played in the past.

you're taking Maradona declarations as a dogma? this is funny, every post you make is better you'll keep posting english links and try to pretend they're completely objetive? now seriously, what makes him better than Di Stéfano or Cruyff? As I told you class is about technique, being a good player, not having many trophies. And Maldini, well, he's the only player who has 5 Europe Cups (apart from some Madrid players of course). quite bigger to compare And by the best, I'm presuming you mean Barcelona, bearing in mind that football isn't played in the past. I was talking about players man. look for the subject in the context, not only in the previous sentence

you'll keep posting english links and try to pretend they're completely objetive? Why does it matter where the link originated from? It's the content of the article that validates my point. I'm not interested in making direct comparisons, because we'll be here all night. I'm just trying to make you aware of his standing in world football, because - like it or not - he is considered one of the greats. As I told you class is about technique, being a good player, not having many trophies. The implication being that Ryan Giggs doesn't have class or technique?
