Thought I would be one of the first to tell you all that tonight was a corker. Oasis came on at 9.00pm and got half way through Rock n Roll Star and then the power went off. It came back on and then they broke into Layla and then it went off again. Finally we got going again half an hour later. Liam promised to give the fans a full refund and then later Noel said they would announce it on the website, I do not want the money back, the show rocked no matter what happened. If they play half as good as they did tonight, the rest of the tour will be top notch. If you go to Manchester on Saturday and Sunday take a brolly as you will get soaked with beer, watch out for flying bottles, they were coming from all over the place. By the way, Reverand and the Makers were a late replacement, they were excellent. Kasabian were excellent. The first band were just okay. Weather was sunny and warm, cold and windy towards the end. The show went past eleven due to the delay. Any questions, fire away.....one last thing, Heaton Park Station was closed after the concert so god knows how everyone got home. Martin - Manchester.

Do not try and get over barrier at front (golden circle) as the security was tight. One chap was taken out by a little brute force jumping through me and my brother. All entrances opened at same time. Set list (do not ask) I had too much to drink to even bother. No idea on wristbands. Cameras are okay, they never checked on entrance. Be aware on Saturday and Sunday, you may get covered in urine. Take a brolley and be aware that you may get hit from behind by bottles. Also, should it rain, be aware the grass and mud may get a little dicey as it was bad enough with people spilling liquids all night long.

One last thing, should you want to record, you will never get a better chance as they never bothered to search anyone around me on entry and as long as you are in the crowd, there is NO security at all apart from on perimeters.

Are you able to come and go from the park? Do want to have to get there from 2pm for the front pen and then be stuck in the park for hours with no music even starting for hours. Thanks.

Plenty of drugs. if you dont like them please move as stewards wont do anything. lots of people selling drinks etc outside but you are infact only allowed 2 bottles of 500ml water. with lemonade you cant tell but otherwise they either let you drink there & then or put in the bin! my advise is drink anything outside off the arena & then go in when kasabian come on or dont drink anything. alot of people were collecting empty cups, maybe there was an offer on or money off if you collect so many cups. long walk from entrance of park to gig (10mins plus). better take a drink or two bowlee showground. take advantage of the park & ride on the way there as its a long walk (30mins+ honestly!). on the way back though. unless you leave the concert early missing (i am the walrus) then i advise you to walk. with all the traffic it took the second session of buses (only 3) longer to get back than we walking. unless you have difficulty walking then take the walk. also dont pay £10 outside for a t-shirt on the way back to the showground car park they were only £5.00 and £1.00 a poster. they check bags on the entrance but no frisks. recording wise get near to an amp. the idea of a the generator blowing was quite suprising. the breaker went off due to the volume reaching its peak in both songs. the volume got too high for an outdoor concert causing the break to cutt off the sound. when the band returned the volume levels were adjusted and the show went on best chips were served in a grey box. £3.00 but you get the most chips & fresh too! forget the name but there is only one stall that does it. next to one of the pizza stalls. also be ready to wait 20mins for the toilet cubical, men just peed anywhere or in these troffs lol dont buy a burger. im sure most stalls are ok but loads of people who were on the toilet were blaming the food there great gig but i am struggling get a refund. i went with ticketline. if anyone can help please pm me. also does no-one else think this golden circle thing sucks? loads of people trying to jump the barrier and then lots of people making there own wristbands. luminous green with numbers. cutting bits of paper wrapping it round there arm, sellotape underneath (not on green side) and then holding up band to guy whilst running in. clever but wrong ;D

the organisation after the gig is shit, no stewards on the bus queue back to the city centre, people were just queue jumping and it was about a mile long and there were about 3 buses. eventually decided to walk back into town, takes well over an hour. you have been warned, its a killer after all that beer!
tram station...forget about it
nowhere near enough toilets for females!!
£3.50 a pint
front pen holds a shit load of people, they were still giving out wristbands gone 6 oclock
great gig apart from the generator problems. my big mouth was a highlight. htwa sounded mega.
was glad the enemy were not playing, rev and the makers were awesome. kasabian were as good.

Do not try and park, it is not available unless you get a rip off artist to the left of Heaton Park Station. But you will have to gert there early. Turn left at Heaton Park Station entrance, there is a superb chippy 200 yards up road.

GMTV carried a show in pro-shot format, the one on the LCD screens at the gig. This should fuel rumours that this may be an official release at some point or at least one of Heaton Park. Liam waffled on about the pope's famous gig at the park years before and it seemed like a stepping stone or landmark event in the band's history.

One last thing, check Reverand and The Movers, they were ten times better than the crap fist group and even better than Kasabian. PS: Does anyone on here think that COLPLAY are complete garbage?

Just a few questions for ppl that went on thursday?
Did many ppl miss the last train home as the gig finished so late? Which bit of the park is gate number 0? This golden circle, is it first come first serve and does it get full quickly? After the gig what is the best way to get bk to the city centre? A few of my mates went and said the trams were fine getting back. Is there still a decent amount of room with a good view?
Thanks
