Roman Catholic is the only faith to have... 'I'm a Roman Catholic, And have been since before I was born, And the one thing they say about Catholics is: They'll take you as soon as you're warm. You don't have to be a six-footer. You don't have to have a great brain. You don't have to have any clothes on. You're A Catholic the moment Dad came...'

So let's hear your atheist creed against Islam. Buddhism. Hinduism. Don't have one? Hmmm.... Looks like this is the only post that even comes close to answering my quick question honestly. Thanks for that.

My atheist 'creed' is this: Most religions are equally pointless and generally give false hope to people who are scared of death. However, if these religions encourage peace and help people to live good and charitable lives without enforcing their beliefs on others, then they are probably a good thing. I disagree with religion on an intellectual level, I suppose you could say, but not on a moral one. I do not hate Islam or Christianity or any other religion. What I do hate is nutcase fanatical believers who do have a hatred of other religions.
Some will say there are more of these in Islam than Christianity and this may be true. That is probably down to the age of the religion itself, in my opinion and I think that in time Islam will become a far more moderate religion. Having said that, it probably wouldn't take much to convince thechemist to chuck a bomb in his backpack and wander down a busy middle eastern street.

1400 years and Islam is no more moderate today than it was at its inception. Less so, probably. And today, thank you, the people of Iran continued their ongoing enabling and support of the radicals. Yes, only a few kill, but millions give them moral and material support. Seems kind of unlikely that a civilized country would elect a nutjob like Ahmadinejad. Only Muslims. Followers of the religion of death.
Not racist, realist.

Does it matter who which religions we disagree with? You can happily live your life without meeting any of us, just minding your own business and leave us to ours

Seriously, what would prompt someone to join an Oasis forum for the sole purpose of sharing his views of neo-conservatism and religious intolerance?

I wouldn't even describe thechemist's posts as religious intolerance. He keeps describing religion in terms of white and non-white while ignoring the many Christians in the world that are non-Whites and the many Muslims in the world that are not Arab. This is more telling of a problem with race than it is a problem with religion.

I think most people on here would be more than happy to have a debate with you about anything. The point is you have used racial slurs on more than one occasion, breaking the rules of this forum. You are clearly a disgusting individual, which this forum could do without.

thechemist - you cannot tar all muslims with the same brush. Despite coming from a Christian backround I for one hate all those Christian extremists and any other extremists of other religions. You seem intent on spreading hatred - the word hypocritical comes to mind. Hatred has done nobody any favours. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Hindus etc can all live in harmony - how hard can that be? It's surely not asking too much, is it?

Yes, I'm still here. dissenting opinion is dissenting opinion. what you're saying is hate speech. and being (or not being) a liberal has nothing to do with it. when you break the forum's rules, you're out. webby is kind enough to warn people.

OK. I'll leave out the terms ragheads and camel jockeys (even though that one's a bit funny. Get over yourselves). And apologize for doing so. I didn't realize how sensitive you all are. I will actually admit to seeing your points. You all seem to be incapable of separating my pet names for the followers of the religion of peace with my legitimate concerns about their practices. So using the term camel jocky invalidates my points. Thanks for pointing that out.
And yes. I paint followers of the religion of dea... peace with a broader brush than I do other religions. It may have been a tainted election (which was stupid in that he would have won without cheating), but MILLIONS voted for a jew-baiting, holocaust denying, woman oppressing believer in the 12th iman. How many people would have voted for the Holocaust shooter here in the States?
Again: A miniscule minority kill, but a huge percentage of the population gives them moral and material support.

Am I a racist? Maybe. I'd consider myself a realist. More so than that idiot you all put into the white house. If you ever voted for George W. then you don't get to use the term "idiot" when referring to a candidate that someone else has voted for. Thank fuck people like you aren't in government in America.
