Neil Young, the Specials, Fleet Foxes, Doves, Animal Collective, the Horrors, the Boss, Kasabian, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Spinal Tap, Franz Ferdinand, Maximo Park, Pete Doherty, Jarvis Cocker, Bon Iver, Blur, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Glasvegas, Bats for Lashes, Art Brut. Are you a moron? Or did you have your eardrums mutilated at birth? My eardrums are just fine, thanks. And about half of those acts you just listed are either outdated, irrelevant, or just plain shite. So yeah, fuck off and that. And adam even missed out the Doves and the Lightning Seeds. What line-up would you prefer Oasis, Coldplay, Arctic Monkey's no doubt. The Line-up is far superior to the year before overall and Glastonbury is about so much more than the music. I think you are are one of the most intelligent and best posters on this forum but i can't possibly agree with what you've said.

All these people judging the quality of Glastonbury on the line-up are missing the point of it anyway, so there's no need to concern yourselves with it. But it is a music festival, first and foremost. I went in 2007 and the lineup that year was fantastic. Quality almost from top to bottom. This year, nah. I realise that some people go for the atmosphere, and that the music is secondary, but if I'd shelled out £150 for a ticket then I'd be very disappointed with the lineup. For me, five bands from two hundred over the course of a weekend doesn't really represent value for money. Still, I suppose it's all subjective. I'm just glad I'm going to Werchter instead.

Hmm. Tricky decision for Friday night. Neil Young, Doves, Ray Davies, The Streets or Bloc Party. All pretty decent. Still not sure...

Got a tought choice to make between Blur + The Prodigy on the Sunday night. And with The Libertines/Muse/Arctic Monkeys rumored to be the special guests there i may have to pop along to every special guest slot in the hope it is one of them !

How many bands do you actually watch at a festival? I rarely watch more than 10-12 bands properly. And if you are saying there's not at least 12 great bands then you are mad. I cant believe you only like 5 acts at glasto this year, what are they?

I cant believe you only like 5 acts at glasto this year, what are they? Doves, Kasabian, and Franz Ferdinand are the only bands in that lineup I listen to on a regular basis. Maximo Park I've seen, and they're not bad, so I'd probably make the effort to see them. I also expect I'd watch Springsteen and Neil Young, or as much of them as I could after I'd seen the acts I'd prefer to see. Obviously I'd go and watch a few other bands during the day, but when I went in 2007 there were 10-15 acts that I wanted to see, rather than seeing them for lack of something better to do.

Arctic Monkeys aren't playin? There's deffo a few I plan on seeing: Kasabian, The Boss, Neil Young, Paolo Nutini, Gaslight Anthem, Cage The Elephant, Deadmau5, White Lies, Madness, The Specials, Crosby, Stills & Nash. Dunno who to see between the Prodigy & Blur. Shame Doves clash with Neil Young. Whats the point in having a festival where the majority of the bands you can see throughout the year in local academies and arenas. I intend to see as many as I wouldn't normally go and see.

As much as I prefer real rock music as apose to dance music, I'd still personally go for the Prodigy over Blur, I saw the Prodigy at Wembley arena 2 months ago and they were MINDBLOWIN!!! The bass was so intense I threwup! Light show was out of this world too. If you see them and you arn't going fuckin nuts for an hour n a half then there's definitely something wrong with u just skip 1.30 in Ain't bad is it?
