It was on the Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants Tour. Bolton Reebok Stadium is about 10 miles north of Manchester. So it was kind of local homecoming gig for Oasis. Johnny Marr and the Healers were 1st on stage. I think (i may be wrong) Zak was on drums for Johnny Marr's band........

I'm sure The Zutons filled in for Babyshambles when they made a no-show.

I'm sure The Zutons filled in for Babyshambles when they made a no-show. Yeah, it was Southampton Rose Bowl 2005

Anyone know if an Irish band called Catchers ever supported Oasis? According to their Wikipedia they did around 1994/95 but I can’t find any evidence of it... they are being interviewed on the Britpop Revival show this week en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catchers_(band)

Don’t think Tailgunner have been mentioned? Think they were first support at Poole lighthouse before The Bees.

Sloan in Canada... I think? Pretty sure it was the same show with Jet. I don’t think so. I’m a big Sloan fan too. Jet were opening along with Nic Armstrong and the Thieves and then later with Kasabian on that 05 North American tour.

German band Tomte supported 2009 in Dresden. It was kind of a favor from the promoter for their leadsinger.

Not exactly what the thread means but bands I’ve personally seen support Oasis
The Coral Proud Mary Shack Black Rebel Motorcycle Club The Charlatans Ocean Colour Scene The Subways Doves The Bees Twisted Wheel
Bit of a mixed bag to be honest ranging from the sublime (BRMC) to the damn right shite (Shack)

Maybe it's just my luck but I randomly picked 6 bands from the comments that I've never heard of and listened to 5 songs from them and honestly, except for maybe The Burn, they were not very good. No wonder why most of them never made much more than 2 albums' worth of music.

Even the singer commented at the end of the set about being rusty or something. They were not good. I really rate OCS and Doves, two of my faves I’ve seen supporting Oasis (although the singer from Doves, seemed completely off his face at the COM stadium😂)
