does anyone know WHY they play IATW so much slower now?
the version from the mid 90's really rocked, it was played at a much better(faster) pace.

yeah this version of IATW is great... the crowd were great and the band was amazing from the 5th or 6th song on to the end
I loved the Strawberry Fields-like break at the end

i disagree with most of you(respectfully of course). I think Zak is the best drummer Oasis ever got but everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
as for IATW, nothing beats the early versions of that song in the mid 90's.

and liam was sounding absolutely amazing towards the en of the gig. He kept getting better with every song. Another reason they should've done Live Forever! LOL

I sort of agree with lgfaver... I like Zak better than Chris, but he fookin rocks, fantastic drummer as well.
As for the "slowness" in IAMW... I guess Noel decided to slow things down a bit like they did a bit with Zak... trying to play like in the records I guess... Champagne Supernova, R&R Star, IATW etc

Nah, not really. Arrived at the venue at 6:30 PM and got inside when I knew the opening act was ending (mostly because it was SHITE!). But somehow I managed to stay in the front row. Top gig. Their best I've seen in Brazil so far. Let's see what happens in São Paulo tomorrow and Curitiba on Sunday.

I confess i'm not a huge fan of Cachorro Grande but their concert was decent enough.. they played Helter Skelter, what the fuck was that? mental ;D i have no words to describe the gig, was in the barrior with all my mates between Liam and Noel.. both were in a great mood! Top gig, top crowd.. Liam and the brazillian flag was unbelievable! We sang Live Forever A LOT.. bastards! funniest part of the night was when Noel said: "If you go to the Copacabana beach and see the statue of the Christ tonight, he's not there.. he's there!!" and pointed to Jay ;D 3 more concerts to go, can't wait cheers |
