Dunno what I was thinking here! Though the melody that encompasses the lyrics are quite sad, so I was probably thinking in those terms.

Those lines create quite a psychedelic atmosphere, but there's no denying that it suggests an apocalyptic event, which sets a bit of a depressing tone. However, that's what makes the song brilliant, so I cannot criticize its sort-of sad lyrics at all.

I just never believe him, Liam has such angst in his voice when he sings it. And Noel definitely has issues with his 'atheism' because all his lyrics are about God
