I'm definitely going to Rio and São Paulo... I mean, it's perfect, in Rio it will be a small venue, an indoor arena, and in São Paulo a big outdoor for 35,000 people.... fuckin brilliant man...

;D officially announced in the myspace page OASIS TO PLAY RIVER PLATE STADIUM, BUENOS AIRES Oasis have just announced they will be performing at the River Plate Stadium, Argentina's national football stadium and venue for the 1978 World Cup final on Sunday the 3rd of May. Also known as 'El Monumental de Nuñez', the iconic stadium is the biggest stadium in Argentina for concerts. Oasis return to Argentina for the first time since playing a sold out show to 40,000 fans at the Buenos Aires Polo Fields in March of 2006. The date is part of their South American tour which also includes the previously confirmed gigs in Peru and Brazil. Tickets for the River Plate Stadium date go on sale to owners of CITI Bank cards from Friday 13th March. Tickets go on General Sale on the 28th March. arggghh stupid presale

they've been in the US twice this tour. I don't think there's time to go again in May. maybe they will stop by Australia by mid-end April and then just rest before the stadium gigs. I rather have them play in as many different countries as possible. Australian fans should be able to see them live as well. the gigs in August were CANADA (only one in Seattle). I am banking on them coming at in September, hopefully they WILL NOT play soul destroying arenas again, when they play 3,000- 5,000 venues here its friggin amazing...the need to stick to that. Congrats on the south american tour dates... I am tempted, my brother in law is from Brazil

I like small venues also. I wish they do 2 nights in a smaller place instade of River, but playing in a huge stadium is a great boost for the band over here and the crowd will go mad

the gig in Curitiba (10/5) won't take place in Pedreira Paulo Leminsky anymore due to some problems between the events and the local population.. the gig will take place now at the Expotrade Convention Center
