This was from the other night in Paris, Slide Away.
He really is sounding amazing at the moment, seems to be getting better and better this tour.

I agree, he sounded great at the start of the tour (not brilliant but still great) then he started sounded shit around the US tour before xmas, but his voice has been steadily getting better since then and now it's sounding even better than it did at the start of the tour. Hope it keeps improving and peaks around the UK summer gigs

About Liam's voice this is the best tour since 2002.

Well not better than ever, but I've heard a few bits from the recent gigs and Liam certainly sound on par with the very early gigs, the rehearsal and the Canadian gigs. So credit has to be given for that.
Best since 2002. Not in my view. The DBTT tour gets a lot of stick, but play one of the best gigs (Boston or the Benicassim festival) and I'd put that above this tour, especially on the same songs sung on both tours.

Do you think the thing he always does when he indicates to the mixer that he needs the volume raising is a habit he's got into doing when his voice sounds shit? Sort've trying to imply that he sounds shit cos his voice isn't high enough or something. He doesn't seem to be doing it here, and that's probably cos he knows he sounds a lot better.

The entire Paris gig is amazing, I think he sounds better than the early gigs and Copenhagen.

Annoys the fuck out of me when he does that. I've always had the idea that he did it due to his confidence being shot as his voice isnt anywhere up to standard anymore. As in he doesn't know what to do anymore in front of the crowd. Anyway yeah he sounds great in this video in terms of these days, but that might just be cause the recording is really good?

I've been saying it for the last 3 fucking months - there's nothing wrong with Liam's voice for fuck sake. Sure, it's worse than 1994, 1996, 2000, and 2002....but it's nowhere near as bad as the last tour in 2005. And yes, I'll admit he's become a bit hit and miss since 2005, but from December until now, these 3 months have produced incredible vocals. Liam's voice is fine, not excellent, but not shit either....

That and cutting the notes short. I don't think it's a coincidence that when his voice is sounding shit he will barely hold any notes yet in the Paris gig he finishes virtually every line.

its good to see that liam seems a lot more confident and relaxed about his vocals than i've seen in a couple of shows on this tour and most of the DBTT tour. Do u guys agree when i say that his stage presence changed a bit compared to the last tour?. To me he seems to be a little more relaxed and enjoying himself a lot more on stage. No more 'i'm gonna kill someone straight away' attitude. Good thing for me was when he apoligized during the amsterdam gig when he said ' for the people who were seeing us the last couple of nights i apologize for deliverin some shockin vocals' i was in the crowd cheerin for him, me and my mate were like ' hey the bastard DOES care about his vocals'

he is not that breatless as he used to be last year. i think the constant jogging is paying out. AND he has his "old" stance again with his hands completely behind his back. last year and dbtt tour he held his arms next to his body or put his hand in his pockets. he isnt doing that anymore since three or four weeks. maybe it has something to do with that. his voice is amazing again.

Champagne Supernova from that Paris gig sounds awesome. Very relaxed singing from Liam, might be the best Champagne Supernova for years.

Check the other videos of that gig from that youtube user....is the best Oasis gig (with regards to Liam's vocals) this tour? Fuck, how about since 2002?
He's also become enthusiastic on stage again - moving about on stage, he smacked the mic at the end of Cigs and Alc (something I havent seen him do for YEARS, how i missed that), and he spouts something too!
Also, I did say that I thought the change in stance in 2005 led to worsening of his voice.....at this gig we see the 90s Liam stance.
Lets hope he can keep this up!

I was hoping I wasn't the only one to notice how liam got his old stance back. It's really good to see and encouraging for the future. It was also really cool when he brought that girl up ok stage the other night.

Long hair close to the 40th birthday is ridiculous. Don't want a liam like Paul Weller. His new hair cut is fucking nice, likes glastonbury in 2004. Perfect !

His voice is starting to sound pure again. Who knows maybe in 2 years he could sound maybe 3/4 of the way he once sounded. This is hopeful. e was holding a ton of notes.
