No idea if this has been posted already.
----------------------------------------------------
The Times in conjunction with iTunes (www. itunes. co. uk) are to release a selection of live recordings by Noel Gallagher taken from his semi-acoustic performance at the Royal Albert Hall on 27th March 2007 in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.
‘The Dreams We Have As Children (Live for Teenage Cancer Trust)’ features classic and rare tracks from the Oasis canon along with several cover versions of some of Noel’s favourite artists. Songs by The Beatles and The Smiths are featured here along with a very special duet with Paul Weller performing The Jam’s ‘The Butterfly Collector’.
From Tuesday 10th March, The Times will print a link in the paper each day (for five days) which takes readers to a specific page on iTunes (www. itunes. co. uk) where they can download a different song each day for free. Then on Sunday 15th March, The Sunday Times will be giving away an 11 track CD with the newspaper which, alongside the downloads, gives readers the full tracklisting for ‘The Dreams We Have As Children (Live for Teenage Cancer Trust)’. A donation has been made to Teenage Cancer Trust in respect of the use of these recordings. On 16th March the full album will be available to buy digitally (only) from a selection of online retailers.
Oasis are long time supporters of Teenage Cancer Trust and are proud to continue their support. As well as Noel’s appearance with special guests in 2007, the band headlined the event in 2002. In addition Noel has made several guest appearances himself over the decade.

Yeah this just caught my eye in the newsroom, fantastic news been hoping this would be released one day. Fair play to them for giving it away as well, I'd have been more than willing to pay for this and finally we'll get a soundboard recording of Don't Go Away and There Is A Light . Where does one download the full gig though? It just says it's available to buy digitally from "A selection of on-line retailers".

So this show can be posted here since "a donation has been made to TCT in respect of the use of these recordings", correct?

Great news, couldn't wait for this concert to surface in a proper quality! Hope people from everywhere will be able to download it from the 16th, I'd like to buy it, for the quality of the thing and for the TCT thing.

So, they only cut "Strawberry Fields Forever" (Noel started laughing during the song, if I remember correctly the reviews).
For lennonelives2
I think the string quartet was on every song from Don't Go Away to the end (on youtube they're just sitting there during "Married with children").

Strawberry Fields Forever was only played the first night. They came on stage again and Noel have to start laughing after Gem played some wrong tunes during the song.
I'm so happy about this news!!! One of the best gigs I've ever seen.

I'm sure somebody will post a rip online for those of us outside the UK.
If you want the actual CD, various UK specialty record stores will stock it, and I'm sure thousands of Oasis-hating Brits will flog it on ebay for a couple of bucks.
