Some Might Say and Supersonic are two of my favorite tunes, but neither of them have good lyrics. Fuck that. The verses of Some Might Say are some of Noel's best work.

But you have to admit, the chorus' lyrics are garbage.

The lyrics are catchy, but they make no sense. Noel's lyrics have no meaning. With there song its like you don't know what Supersonic means or Some Might Say means until you have a Supersonic feeling or Some Might Say feeling. That's with all of Oasis' songs and those two are no different.

The lyrics are catchy, but they make no sense. Some might say that sunshine follows thunder Go and tell it to the man who cannot shine Some might say that we should never ponder On our thoughts today 'cause they hold sway over time
Some might say we will find a brighter day
Some might say they don't believe in heaven Go and tell it to the man who lives in hell Some might say you get what you've been given If you don't get yours I won't get mine as well
Some might say we will find a brighter day Makes plenty of sense to me.

if that makes semse to you then you're Fuckin' high. When he says "On Our Thought Today 'cause they hold sway over time" it should be "on our thought today 'cause they don't hold sway over time", that makes more sense.

Then try putting a comma between today, and 'cause. I've always understood that lyric as Noel telling you not to dwell on your thoughts, because of the detrimental effect it could have in the long-term. Or, you know, to be decisive.

I think it means to do something without complaining...or similar. I'd like to be, under the sea...but I'd probably need a phoneyeah mate, that's a good one. That and most of the song Be Here Now. Terrible lyrics. TERRRRRIBLE. I disagree, however, with everyone who said that Little By Little's lyrics suck. For shame! What a great set of lyrics. And the fact that everyone hates that song depresses me. It's a nice song!!

What are you plonkers on about? Little by Little is a great song. Stop turning a blind eye to the obvious poor lyrics: "I can see a liar, sitting by the fire", "Put yer money were your mouth is", etc.....those songs make Little by Little look like a masterpiece. Please, lets put this in context. Fuck me, this is twice I've written this post. I hate FF 3.0.4. Right, I agree with ya on LBL. The chorus has better lyrics than almost anything that's come out since then, even if it's rather shit live. But PYMWYMI? That's a common phrase, and even if the lyrics are generic and repetitive, at least they're not completely nonsensical.

I don't hate Little by Little, I think that the chorus is mega
But the lines
"We the people fight for our existance, we don't clame to be perfect but we're free."
must be the most cliche thing ever.

I like quite a few of the tunes but the lyrics are complete nonsense.
For example I really like The Turning but the words make no sense at all, same goes for Bag It Up, To Be Where There's Life etc.
I like the tunes but I preferred it when it felt as though the lyrics MIGHT mean something, even if often they didn't!

"Goin' where the grass is FREE 'n the air is clean."
I never understood why he didn't say "grass is green" instead of "grass is free," especially since he ends up saying "grass is freen, the air is clean."
He was literally one letter from making sense and he didn't do it. I'm always amazed.

He's playing with you that's why!
And people are saying that Noel's lyrics make no sense, that's usually the point! He what's to write the next I Am The Walrus, songs like Shakermaker and Supersonic are testament to that

Anything that contains 'Mind(s)' or Beatles/Lennon reference
So many.....
She Is Love Angel Child I Can See A Liar (shameful)
Magic Pie was awful, he ripped of a Tony Blair speech in the lyrics
There are but a thousand days Preparing for a thousand years

I Can See A Liar Sitting By A Fire Aye true, think everyone accepts I Can See A Liar and Little James are horrific so there's no point mentioning them. "Sing a song for me, one from Let It Be" winds me up
