Yeah, in the mid 90s this performance would have been amazing. And yeah, he makes mistakes in this clip, but it's still rather good. I really do think he's over-singing, and that's his main problem. Sure, the voice changes over time, and the cigs don't help, nor straining his voice with singing constantly for 15 years, but I think the main problem is the band is playing too loud and he's shouting.
Look, when he plays acoustic, or softer songs, he sings. He properly sings. Look at the GGTIA acoustic perofrmance from the 2005 DBTT tour, perfection.
He'll never sound like 1996 again, but he hasn't lost it. He's inconsistent more for the fact that he's trying too hard and has the notion that he has to shout. But when he sings, he shows he still has it.
Anyway, Liam has been more consistent and better in this tour than in the 2005 DBTT tour. MAD FER IT.

That sounds just amazing. Is that the best he sounded for years?

This is fantastic. I know that the IOT single would have already been made in mass quantity but this really should be the B-side.
There's always hope that they could chuck it on as a B-side on the next single.

Superb version ! How do you rip the video to an mp3 ? Did a search and found a few websites but most seem to have errors.
Anyone know the name of a decent site/convertor ?

Could they not make Liam's vocals louder, and tell him to sing more softly? This is a really nice vocal.

It really is a sound issue with his voice.

Liam doesn't sound like this every night due to the soundcheck. We all know he hates soundchecks. So his mic is usually low and bad equalized most of the time. At the rehearsal gig he was on FIRE. WHY? He didn't need to shout! His mic was loud and well equalized.

I dont know...he sounds better then during last few years, because he tries to sing and not shout as usual.... but there is to many moments in this song when you can really hear how weak his voice really is today... like it would be painful for him to sing...

his voice sounds very fragile; which is just fine for IOT (great performance!), but not for most other (heavier) songs.

It's alright, not amazing. Mainly because he's not using falsetto for the chorus, which kinda makes the song. Doesn't have the same impact when he stretches for it like that.

Jizzworthy performance. The best Liam has sung live since 2002. Let's hope he does some more acoustic stuff this tour.
