I have always thought that "Oasis" is one of the coolest names for a band. And Im not just saying that because Im an Oasis fan, I thought that before I even really got into Oasis. I think "The Clash" is another great band name....and a great band!

I once played on a bill with a band called 'Whiskeydick'.
I'm sure the chicks are intrigued by the members of that band....
They were awful, just a bassist and drummer. Sort of like funk-thrash-punk...

Oasis is a solid band name its kinda got that "classic" sound to it. I've always loved the Who and The Verve also.

As Scott Adams said once, "Tubular Luggage" would be a good name for a band. As to real names, I always thought Blur was a good name, but sadly for a relatively $#!t band.

But in all seriousness, I'm rather partial to Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Sex Pistols, and Arctic Monkeys. Franz Ferdinand is kinda cool as well, but the music is shit.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - when i first heard it, i was like wtf? Then i was like, that's a cool ass name. Top band as well.

i always thought audioslave was a cool name. same with pearl jam, stereophonics and the wallflowers.

Yeah Stereophonics is a great name, same with the Stone Roses. I also think the Jam, though rather simple is a superb name.
