I happen to really dig it actually. Reminds me of the Who. It really rocks; sounds like the boys are having a blast.
I also think Soldier On is a great closer; there's almost something hypnotic about it. I'm looking forward to Liam's future creations.
My 2 Cents.

Horrible songs. Especially Soldier On....most boring song Oasis have ever written. It doesn't go anyway, and just repeats itself for 4mins. FUCKING YAWN.
TBWTB would have been a much better closer.

Horrible is a strong word. I think I Believe in All is better than TBWTB and IOT is the 2nd best tune on the Album (after FD). I know, I know; I'm some sort of heretic. Keeso

I think people were pissed off by the leaked AGN demo, it sounded like Liam wasn't even trying to write a decent tune, just tedious three chord shite.
The changes in the arrangement, on the released version: slightly faster pace, ghostly Noel backing vox, imaginative feedback overdubs and especialy the mesmerizing, breathless pounding energy of the drumming raise it above drek like Meaning Of Soul, but the track is still nothing to get particularly excited about by the standards of Oasis best tunes.

AGN is the weakest song in the album, but its not that bad as people may think. I actualy like it when its played live.

it's not a song full of strings.. just down and immediate. simple rock 'n' roll and really well recorded. to me the demo sounded a bit lacklustre but it's really good. it works really well on the album because it adds some urgency right after to be where there's life. it grows too.
however i wouldn't play it live. its a good album track but it is too similar to ain't got nothing and to me it doesn't sound nearly as good live as in the studio recording. if i had my way for doys songs being played in the setlist: bag it up, the turning, shock of the lightning, i'm outta time, and a falling down/soldier on medley with loads of guitars just because soldier on is simple psychedelia at its finest.

I like the high-pitched backing vocals Noel does for Ain't Got Nothin' at the live gigs, they're great!
Soldier On is simple but indeed mesmerizing. That's the whole beauty of it. I could play it on repeat for 15 in a row and not get bored.

I've been trying to figure out why people don't like AGN... I didn't hear the leak and I enjoy it, particularly the way it builds up the climax. Bit different to the rest of the album and hits you between the eyes. Perhaps I'm strange but I don't have a problem with NOR either. Again, an unusual structure but a good groove and some nice guitar work. Could have been made into something bigger but otherwise fine. I would accept that these songs are not going to make anyone's list of Oasis favourites but they're really not bad at all - the low points of some of the previous albums were much lower.

I think people would like it a lot more if it was a B-side.
For an actual album track though I'm embarrassed by it. Yet another three chord, unimaginative "look at me" type song.
Soldier On isn't a particularly great song but at least its something different.

ain't got nothin is... idk, i think it 's liam's vocal that pisses me off. don't really know why. to me it doesn't fit with any of the other songs.
soldier on is great though. it's kind of like an ellipsis dots instead of a period at the end of the album.

Agreed as someone else said I can listen Soldier on 15 times on the spin and if I ever listen to it it then reels me in and makes me listen the rest of the album

I like Ain't Got Nothin', It doesn't try to be anything its not. Its like the live version of Meaning of Soul, short, sweet and full of energy. And besides, its a much better improvement of the demo isn't it? However, its only downfall is just that. The demo. It was the weakest out of the three that was leaked (Ain't Got Nothin', Stop the Clocks and Record Machine). People just compare it two the other songs and wonder how AGN, then only a decent song, got on an album before the other two, which were amazing despite only being demo's.

I wish the DBTT MOS recording was more like the way they play it live. Bigger drum intro, bigger guitar intro, electric. I feel cheated when i see the videos of it being played live. my only complaint is that that MOS should have a bigger fuck off guitar solo. Thats all

Both of these songs are not even substantial enough to comment on for me. Totally unremarkable.

im not a huge fan of either song, nor am i against either one but i'd just like to say that they are both exponentially better when you are stoned.

Really do like Soldier On but 'aint got nothing' is just boring, very basic and one of the worst on the album.
Big fan of Soldier on though, nice ending to the album

Both of these songs are not even substantial enough to comment on for me. Totally unremarkable. yet you commented. Ain't Got Nothin has real energy and the mad skelterish bit in the middle makes it great, why have a guitar solo when you can have that. Fun tune with loads of energy. Soldier has a sexy sexy bass line, not as good as say Lust for Life, but still good. Lyrics although probably mean nothing are really good for me. This album is Liam's most diverse range of songs yet, its a credit to his improved songwriting that he can write three totally different numbers
