everyone used to just get shit faced, listen to oasis songs, and have a great time.
now everyone on here thinks they are music critics, describing how liam "struggled" through songs, sounded "doggy", voice sound "rubbish" trying to use every cool cliche.
get over it, enjoy the songs and have a good time and stop being johnny music critic.

You can still [HAVE IT LARGE] at these gigs, but whats the harm in admitting Liam sounds [DOGGY] from time to time? Liam used to sound [TUBULAR] back in the day, but now he sounds like [KERMIT THE FROG], which is total [RUBBISH].

Certainly, I'm going to fookin' 'avin it large as well when I see them in Chicago. But, after the show, one can't help shedding a tear or two, or waxing nostalgiac when considering those old Knebworth days, and comparing them to how they are now....

It's because of how easily spread bootlegs are nowadays. You can come on here and download the vast majority of gigs from the past 15 years if you can be arsed. Before MP3's took off they weren't as readily available.
If you're sitting at home on a computer listening you tend to focus more on vocals as you don't get a proper feel for the stage presence and atmosphere. Go to the gig itself and it's a totally different experience.
I don't think there's anything wrong with analysing, as long as you keep some perspective.

Great point. It's fucking rock and roll man. Talking of cliche sayings: "It's just rock'n'roll...". Singing Lyla like a fucking retard is by no means rock'n'roll my friend

i agree with the at the gig comment.. i have been at gigs that i thought were amazing and then bought the bootleg and thought it sounded horrible.

Case in point being Wembley 2000 (the Drunk Liam Night), I thought it was amazing and it wasn't till I saw the Sky broadcast on video a few days later that I realised how appalling it was in places.
The thing is that it always sounds pretty good when you're at the gig (I thought Liam sounded surprisingly good at Liverpool even though his vocals were too far down in the mix) but there's no denying that his voice isn't what it was.
As for people pointing this out, I don't see anything wrong with that. This is one of the greatest ever voices in rock 'n' roll we're talking about here, we wouldn't be fans if we weren't sad that it was no longer what it was.
Of course it doesn't mean you can't enjoy the gigs. When you're singing along at the top of your lungs with your mates it's always going to be awesome.
The annoying thing is that I reckon Liam would be a lot better if he just laid off the cigs for a while, which I know he recently said he was trying to do.

But by putting a rock show under a microscope and dissecting the whole thing you will always walk away disappointed. Which leads me back to it's fucking rock and roll, man.
