If anyone else bought the Dig Out Your Soul deluxe box set I was wondering if it was in good condition when they received it?
Because I received mine today and it looks like it's been kicked around a bit with dented corners and scuffed edges. I'm pretty disappointed and considering sending it back.

Yeah, one of the top corners of mine was slightly scuffed.
Took me a week to get my hands on it though so can't be bothered sending it back.

I didn't get the Deluxe Edition but if I did and it was damaged I'd send it back! For the price of it, it should be delivered with a ribbon round it!
Fuck that- send it back!!!!!!

Mine just arrived a few minutes ago, Ive fully inspected it, nothing major, nothing thats gonna make me ship it back. HOWEVER, I did notice some very minor/tiny scuffs it two places. The binding looks ok, but, I can tell that over time, of opening, closing, opening, closing it might not hold to strong. Then again, I wont be fuckin about with it too much. When you take off the top part of the actual box, one can easily slide out the book and the lps. Only thing is when you take the cds/dvd out, then one would have to slide the whole thing outta the box. But hey, Im sure most of us here already have the Lp in MP3 format along with the extras and dvd part of it. If your box it too jacked up dude, send it back.

I'm sorry to hear that everyone else has had a similar experience to mine.
With the money being charged for these things we, the dedicated fans, deserve better.

See, I think you should all send it back, it was $100, and of course, with stuff like that, you're going to want to put it on eBay. However, it's limited edition and it seems everyone's getting them, so how much will it be really worth in lets say, 5 years time? For the most part, a good portion of people will have it sitting there waiting for Noel or Liam to collapse on stage and die of a heart attack (yeah, I know it was a bit much). I guess it's not fair for those that are getting theirs delivered with damages, but I think that because a lot of people are buying them, it won't add value in the long run. Has anyone got an autographed one by the way? Weren't they sending out some that were supposed to be signed?

...you're going to want to put it on eBay. However, it's limited edition and it seems everyone's getting them, so how much will it be really worth...? I didn't buy it to re-sell it. I bought it because I love Oasis. And it should arrive in good condition cos I paid a shitload for it.

When my dad called DHL to complain, they said they had no clue how to file a complaint because it was some sister company in Germany that shipped it to the U.S. And they said that damaged packages hardly ever happen, and you have to fill out a bunch of fuckin' international complaint files. Fuck that. Class Action Lawsuit! Revolution!

Mine had the double boxing and the packing bubbles. The outer case of the set was a little pinched at one corner, but that's about it. WB won't have much pity on you. If you've got a problem, I'd follow Alex's lead and call the carrier that delivered it. Doesn't mean they have to do anything either, if the shipping and handling charges didn't cover insurance, but it's your only viable option. I believe mine shipped via DHL as well. It may have varied based on where you live in the country.

I bought mine at HMV, Preston.
They had about 10 on the main shelf next the the Oasis cd's.
I only thought you could buy in on-line via Oasis site.

We bought two, because we're mad Oasis fans - mine arrived safely and my Fiance's was damaged - similarly to the ways described above (i.e. dented corners, scuffs, etc.). We sent his back to Warner Brothers. They did give me a refund on my credit card, but only partial on shipping. Plus we had paid customs so we lost money there. They sent another one back and had to pay customs again. This one was better but not quite 100%, but we're keeping it this time.

Just got back from HMV Oxford St and couldn't find anything nice like this. IOT single is still £3. STC with the DVD is £4 though.. very good deal but Ive already got 2 copies of that.

I have a question. Just how "limited" is this deluxe edition? I bought mine off of Inet, Ive fully inspected it and have found no serial numbers telling which number boxset I own. I though this was a limited edition item?

They sell DOYS Vinyls here at my local record store, wanted to buy it but realized I don't have a record player. It looks cool though.
