Does anybody know if Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols did actually play on this album? I know he and Paul Cook played on Ian Browns last album, and Oasis were in LA to mix DOYS (where Steve Jones lives). I heard that they wanted to use some Sex Pistols riffs and tried to get Steve Jones to play them? You can quite clearly hear the riff from Pretty Vacant in the outro of TSOTL.

Noel tallks about this in the XFM interview. He asked Steve Jones to come to the studio to drop off some CDs of songs he heard on Jones's radio show, and while he was there Noel said he was going to get him to play the Pretty Vacant riff at the end of TSOTL.

In the end, Jones got to the studio early, dropped off the tunes and left. Noel got to the studio later after he'd left and decided he'd play the Pretty Vacant riff and he changed it by one note so he wouldn't get into legal trouble.
