There were on top form tonight, the setlist isnt the greatest to be honest, identical to tuesday, and still no my big mouth or replacement but they were still brilliant and it works as a gig, even if it took 4 or 5 songs for the sound levels to get sorted. Liam was on great form, and kept acknowledging the crowd and noel kept it fairly quiet apart from his singing duties.
The new album tracks sound amazing, especially falling down and waiting for the rapture but morning glory and champagne supernova were were the highlights...most worrying thing was the reception supersonic got from anything after the first twenty rows, it was like it was a new song and nobody knew it.
All in all a fantastic gig and the band have never sounded better with this lineup, regardless of the setlist

I'm there tonight, gutted MBM has seemingly been dropped from the set list! Still, looking forward to Sheffield. Which pubs near by should I be going to before the gig?

Which pubs near by should I be going to before the gig? theres a few pubs near the arena actually...youve got the arena square which is like a beefeater family type jobbie, then youve got the noose and gibbet, the enfield and the carbrook which are all ya standard blokes boosers all are just across the road from the arena but on different sides.

Morning Glory, The Masterplan, Falling Down and Slide Away were some of my favourites ;D And Wonderwall sounded really good with the acoustic guitar again So yeah, thoroughly enjoyed it ;D

After the first 3 songs and after been crushed on the floor from the pit i was so fucked.. so many people went back i was in the first 5-15 rows during the gig, was great fun. ITs amazing how mental every1 goes for rock n roll star.

A few of my thoughts: - Setlist is only average, I think the middle needs some energy injected into it, could sense everyone wanting to keep jumping, but the songs didn't lend themselves to it. Not to say the songs they're playing are poor, but there's better live songs. The new song choices are disappointing as well, I don't dislike AGN like most on here, but that with MOS and no BIP or Turning? Strange I think. - Liam's voice is still only average IMO, but, as always, it's irrelevant when you're actually at the gig. - Sharrock's the best drummer they've had. - Falling Down is absolutely immense live, best song of the night for me. - Gem is one cool bastard. ;D - Why did they have a The Enemy tribute band supporting? Overall, band sounds great, atmosphere was excellent (although still a few too many who'd go home happy if they just played Wonderwall for my liking ), but I think the setlist is letting them down at the moment. Maybe the weakest setlist they've had.

He plays all the new stuff with the same kind of power as Starkey, but he can play stuff like Wonderwall and The Masterplan the way they're supposed to be played And yeah, Gem is cool as hell ;D

I think i started to notice that live with the new songs gem does alot more solo's and lead work.. maybe there kinda sharing some bits of lead between noel n gem.
