Let's get it to #2. I'll buy another copy and just give it to a friend.

I'm still more interested in overall sales as this was not a strong week for releases. Hopefully they will hold on and not fall too far in week 2.
It's still nice to have a #3. Morning Glory sold 4 million in U.S. but topped out at #4, so when history comes calling this will actually have a higher charting than MG.

the deluxe edition is at #34. why in the fuck don't they combine the 2? that could possibly vault them into 1st or 2nd

This list was compiled by Apple.com...It would be nice if the official Billboard list comes out like this but I wonder if this list is a true representation...I am certaintly hopeful!
Cheers.

I snooped around on the official Billboard site and there was nowhere that this was confirmed. I did however find an artist index PDF which was current and it listed Oasis as #14 in the modern rock / alternative rock chart.....

the deluxe edition is at #34. why in the fuck don't they combine the 2? that could possibly vault them into 1st or 2nd i know, this is why i said it was plain stupid to release 2 different versions of the album, people who'll buy the album, will buy the album NO MATTER WHAT, there was no need for a "deluxe edition" . I still think when Billboard takes these numbers towards that charts, they'll combine sales numbers from both, because THEY ARE THE SAME ALBUM.

this isn't the final billboard charts. no it isn't. the album has only been out for a couple of days(here in the U.S.) the official charts will be published on Wednesday but we will have some substantial numbers to give us an idea by Monday afternoon.

This isn't the billboard chart at all, that's compiled by "apple.com" that is the itunes Top Albums chart... that's why the album is listed separately on their and it's the exact same thing. I think they're using it just to give a bit of an idea bout sales... it's not affiliated with Billboard, not official.
And for the guy who said it was stupid to have a deluxe edition, that's moronic. The deluxe edition and super deluxe edition are both nice... it gives fans a chance to buy something that is quality but it also provides the casual music fan a cheap alternative... I'd say Warner Brothers/Reprise know what they're doing...

fair enough, i respect your opinion and wont call it "moronic" or anything like that, i just disagree with you.
I was speaking strictly about the iTUnes deal, not the different physical CD/DVD editions the band has released.
Do you seriously think that people who buy their digital music from iTunes or any other digital distributor is gonna be "cheap" !?? dude, if they were cheap they wouldn't even bother to buy digital music, they'd just download it like most people do(through p2p). Think about it.
