Is absolutley amazing. It was the first song we heard from the new album, and since the albums been released, I still find that I seem to play TSOTL more than any other song on DOYS, and I was already playing TSOTL alot before DOYS even came out. I think that if TSOTL had not been released so early before the album was out, This board would be goin nuts over TSOTL. But it seems to have taken a back seat to alot of guys. But I find this to be for sure (atleast IMO) one of the best songs on DOYS. like Top 3. Its a great song to blast while your driving!

I think the chorus kills it other than that though it's great

It's one of those songs that come out once every blue moon.
It is the best rock song of the year. No, what am I saying? This is possibly the best rock song I've heard in about 3 years!
It's a great sing-along with a killer chorus.
I love blasting this while I'm driving with the windows rolled down, gets my adrenaline going, and I'm thinking, "yeah, this is Oasis, b*tches, love 'em or f**k off!"

Its instant. I dare say no song this year has grabbed me like this song Its amazingly catchy. Thumping drums, nasty guitars, sneering Liam, beatles references, smiths-eque title, thunderous bass, what more could you want. Oh yeah its got a fucking drum solo in it too.

"Oh its got a drum solo in it too". That is a great line. Nice way to end your post. Well done. thank you very much ;D. But i'm guessing some people will call it out for not having a guitar solo but i love the little guitar bit at the end. Its still a fuckin tune and if anyone ever doubt that oasis lost the swagger just listen to this tune.

If I had to sum it up in one word it would be "relentless." It just never let's up on you and to gives you a break it just keeps coming at ya.

Someone on here said that if we hadn't heard TSOTL months ago, we would be praising the shit out of it now - and that's correct. But at the same time, I mean, we were fucking all over it when we first heard it too lol - just gets overlooked now bc of TT, BIU, IOT, WFTR (jesus, what a great album!)
Sure, it's Oasis by numbers, and a more hyper Lyla, but so fucking what?
It seems like Oasis has this type of song on EVERY album - except DM (maybe Supersonic, but that's pushing it): Roll With It/Some Might Say, My Big Mouth, Go Let It Out, The Hindu Times, Lyla, TSOTL - they all have a very similar sound
I just wish the proper guitar solo was slightly longer, along with the outro guitar solo - shades of BHN with TSOTL (as well as The Turning). Fucking great.

It's this song that makes me really miss the ramshackle reverby wall of sound Owen Morris gave Oasis. Imagine the rawness of Morning Glory (the song) for TSOTL... Imagine a huge Noel intro guitar line over the chords at the start, and developed coming out of the drum solo. It reminds me a bit of the two rock songs on the Stand By Me single. Dark but upbeat and rocking.

prob my least favorite on the album. well maybe ain't got nothing is behind it, but it's just a typical first single. not that it's bad, but i wasn't on about it to begin with and i still feel the same. although it is killer while i'm running; the tempo just pushes you along!!

Its amazing! You're right, Oasis doesn't get enough credit for it (well amongst the fans), IMO it's the best rock 'n' roll song they put out in over a decade! EDIT; Same can be said for "Bag It Up" and "The Turning" Noel has pulled his finger out when it comes to writing straight forward rock 'n' roll songs!!

Average tune, for me. Still waiting for the chorus to turn up, 2 months later. Nowehere near the best on the album.
