Anyone else go to this last night???
The band seemed to be playing very very well however the sound was awful! the bass, and guitar levels were far too low in the mix and the overall sound seemed quite low. It took until 2 songs before the encore to sort it out which is digusting for a professional band -the people doing the levels want sacking for it. Its a real shame because when the sound was eventually corrected -and approaching listenable- you could tell the band were playing exceptionally well. Put into this the fact it was a more varied set and liam's best vox since the 90s it feels like a missed oppportunity for the band.

innit strange when you watch and listen to these Liam sings fantastic, watch the Echo Arena Sky News clip and you hear the 'snarl' in RnRS and Lyla..

To th OP, I thought the sound was great  Just posted my review on Oasisinet, shall post it here too: Great gig, gutted no My Big Mouth though. Wtf was going on with people throwing beer at Liam and Noel :evil: They didn't look too impressed obv. I was right in front of Noel - kept making eye contact with him, which was a bit weird, I don't think he liked me taking pics of him though, lol! A couple of times he moved away when he saw me about to snap! Thought Noel looked quite "fragile" at some points - not his usual self. The crowd around us was mostly great, no nobheads, had no trouble, didn't even get hit by piss  Only a bit of beer. Great night. Well, I have to say that it was a good gig even though the band seemed a bit flat at times.
I don't know whether it was the nobheads throwing beer and water at them or his broken ribs but as K41 says Noel seemed a bit subdued and so did Andy and Gem.
Liam was on pretty decent form and his voice sounded really good. Of the new songs I thought The Shock of the Lightning and I'm Outta Time were the best and were the best received.
Of the oldies Slide Away and The Masterplan stood out for me.
No My Big Mouth which was a bit of a shame - maybe it didn't go down as well as they hoped the night before or something.
Unfortunately I was stood near a few nobheads down the front, proper scallies who were clearly up for a scrap.
I felt someone push me hard in the side of the head, turned round to ask what their problem was and some little shit who was with a group of lads started spoiling for a fight. Then after that he kept staring at me and mouthing off.
I just moved away from them as there was no point it ruining my gig.
A good night but I'm sure there will be better gigs to come this year and next. At 40-odd quid a pop I'm not sure if I'll be going to any though!
