It's now Wednesday, which gave Pitchfork 2 days to review Oasis new record, surely one of the most (or THE most) anticipated record release of last few weeks. No review yesterday....no review today. Even though I shouldn't care since they have mercilessly dumped on every record Oasis put out since Morning Glory, I was looking forward to those snobs at least acknowledging these are Noel's best batch of songs since Be Here Now, or maybe even Morning Glory. What's even stranger, is the fact that they didn't take the opportunity to rip it apart, as they usually seem to get quite a kick out of..... Check this review out of Heathen Chemistry...1.2 out of 10!! Ha ha. The article is pretty comical though, I'll give 'em that... www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/20520-oasis-heathen-chemistry

i'd expect it by the end of the week. they're def no fans of oasis, but they were surprisingly professional with the articles about noel's injuries. also, i halfway agree on their HC rating. maybe not THAT low.

Is no Pitchfork review better than a very negative Pitchfork review? Probably.
I'm sure they'll review it soon enough, and begrudgingly admit that it's a decent record. And then give it 5.1 out of 10. Anyone else think they can correctly guess what the Pitchfork score will be?

Whenever I need a good laugh I read their Radiohead reviews. "Because today, Radiohead are U2, Pink Floyd, and Queen-- and they could have been bigger than The Beatles if the success of "Creep" hadn't agitated an Oxford-bred guilt complex." Yeah, ok. Fuckin' idiots......

And if the label was smart they didn't send a promo to the fuckers.

Pitchfork rips apart good music, and loves terrible music, all in the hopes that people will think they're "cool" and have "good taste" - when in actual fact they're a joke.
I've always thought Pitchfork sucked.

Pitchfork are pompous assholes, and I stopped reading their reviews many years ago. Seeing this thread, I went and checked out their review of the new Verve album. They're still pompous assholes. 5/10, I don't fucking think so.

even if this was the best album ever (i think its certainly up there) theyd still probally only give it about a 3/10 cause they cant stand oasis, 1.2/10 for HC fuck off, its not brilliant but its still good
