Wal-Mart has the regular, basic CD for $13.88, I only got it there because two of my Barnes & Nobles were out of stock and the two others were out of my way. I'm not too bothered by it because I have a digital copy of the lyrics from my iTunes purchase. I found it funny they even stocked it, Wal-Mart hardly stocks anything!
They only had less than ten copies too...

Well, I had no choice, it was either that or I'd have to wait longer. I'm not too bothered, I paid around $20 PER CD at B&N when I bought DM, WTS (MG?) and BHN. You don't understand that Wal-Mart is the biggest store out there and that they're LITTERED all over the US at like every corner. Having a CD like this in there is like, well, great for them. They have a policy about not selling Parental Advisory CDs, so they couldn't actually stock the CD/DVD version. No one wants to go hunting it down at Target/Best Buy/B&N/etc when they can just get it there and save their gas.
You don't really know how the marketing strategy works, but they only had a few copies. If they had ordered more, it would have been cheaper. I noticed this because there were some CDs that there were at least 20 copies and those were only like $7.99, not at all different really.
In reality, we'd all be paying around $7.99-$9.99 for a copy if it wasn't that the stores want to make profit out of it. But, because Wal-Mart have the advantage for having stores everywhere, it's less of a big deal for them, they're like a big huge convenient store-their prices are still cheaper however. I remember when Blockbuster used to sell CDs, they didn't really work out, and they'd just hand copies to employers (my mom being one). here's pretty much one or two in every city around here, but even they can't compete with Wal-Mart's prices.

Wow, so many people from Dallas! I think it's all quite weird, it's like none of us really know who we really are, and we could be in the same classes and stuff, and we'd never know.

I'm surprised they were charging that much considering Wal-Mart is the one trying to make the $9.99 pricepoint the industry standard (and its $9.99 everywhere else for the single CD version)

Yesterday I was sitting outside because I got out of class a hour early and I was listening to the album on on iPhone and it was amazing how the wind blew in my hair at all the right times. It made Falling Down so much better! And yeah, they aren't stocking much of it, I don't think they'd think it would be that big of a seller.

were you able to go their last gig at smirnoff? Nah, I only just became a fan when DBTT came out, and actually, it was RIGHT when they released the album. I was just up one night watching PBS and The Royle Family came on and I was like "What a beautiful song! Who sings this?" I stayed up until 2 AM and somehow missed the credits/or just couldn't read it by then because I was so tired and was just humming it all week long and finally found it one evening and a couple of weeks later, Lyla came out.

Has anyone in Canada --- Particularly in Alberta --- found the CD/DVD version? All the stores I've checked out (HMV, Bestbuy, Futureshop) in edmonton only carry the basic CD.

Very surprised walmart is stocking Oasis! why wouldn't they? it is a new release, now under a major record label here in the states, and they are actually promoting the album in a somewhat decent fashion. PLus, it's not like there's any profanity on DOYS, the cd/dvd version is another story though(band interview lol)
