I was just watching ESPN and they played Oasis' 'The Shock of the Lightning' during the Monday Night Football Revisited segment. I think that's pretty cool. I'd be surprised if they don't use that song, or any DOYS song for their Ultimate Highlight segment later in the week . . .
Also, last night during MNF, they played Roll With It and Bag it up. I thought that was cool as well . . .

i see shock of the lightning being used a lot by espn and the like cause its a really upbeat, raw song.. fits nfl perfectly.

They used the intro to Bag It Up when they were going to a commercial too... about 20 seconds worth.

Yeah someone at ESPN clearly likes it. I believe they were doing this around DBTT times as well

Haha. Maybe it's because Noel likes American football as he's said before in one interview... He hates baseball, but gets football.

Yeah i heard Roll with it coming up to one of the breaks, only watched the 1Q so i'l probably hear the rest later.
Not quite the same with ESPN and Monday Night Football going out to millions of homes but Oasis must have a contract with Eastenders as the amount of times Oasis songs are on in the cafe or Queen Vic is huge. Not that i err watch it of course, my missus tells me.

A friend of mine has had some shitty country song as his ringback tone forever and a day - he finally changed it yesterday to TSOTL - and he's admittedly not a fan of Oasis at all...
Also heard it played at the bar on one of the music choice channels - but if you think the album is starting to take off, just wait until the general public hears Bag It Up, The Turning, and I'm Outta Time...

OK Lionsden knows why ESPN is so Oasis friendly... I'll get him to post about that

OK Lionsden knows why ESPN is so Oasis friendly... I'll get him to post about that it's not like they've been doing stuff like this throughout the years, it has to be the label the one who's behind this, perhaps even Noel... I don't buy the whole "ESPN is oasis friendly"

Well either way there is a ESPN radio show producer named Liam from the UK. He does the Mike & Mike show, and I have heard Oasis being played as the bumper music plenty of times. He is an Oasis fan. Not sure if he has any influence, but you never know.

It's the label. They do stuff like this to promote the album. Nothing more . . .
